Antara Dua Darjat....





At last habis pun saya membaca buku ini .... cinta antara dua darjat ... kepercayaan shi'ah and sunna tiga hari berturut2 tiap ptg bila takde student mengacau saya buku ini lah saya pegang membaca sampai habis.I recommend a must read .... cikgu Sarina dengar tak?....hehehe ....

Last week I finished the book 'Kite Runner' another must read .... a very touching book that tears just flow ..... I din't get to see the movie.About 2 boys growing up in Afghanistan during the Teleban ruling.





On monday we had so much of yummy food to eat ... in the morning during the weekly meeting we were served with something like 'onde-onde' goreng berinti kacang merah .... so sedap and I had 3 of them.





Then in the mid morning for prefects meeting I was given this plateful of pastries by one of the staff as I was busy in the sick bay .... I think by end of this year my weight going to be double than what I am now ..... and this friday there will be another round of parents meeting hmmm..... another round of makan2 again.











I'd only managed to eat 3 of them as I was still full after eating the morning rounds.











Marks & Spencer sales start today ..... ...... ummi jom lets go ....... lets buy the whole shop .... hahaha

Khas untuk mu bapak......

Khas untuk mu bapak is a special video made my brother in law Saat unfortunately I am unable to upload into youtube or multiply as the file is too big ... it was rejected as it exceeded the 100MB allowance.

Its our tribute to the patriach in the Jellanie family .... this video was shown during atok's birthday bash when everyone were present.....

I was trying to do it at work but unsuccessful.....I did send to some of you only.... as I don't have your email address at my working pc.If you wish to view it do email me with your email addresses and I will send to you as soon as I can.

My deepest appreciation to my brother in law Saat who spent so much time producing and editing it for weeks before the big bash.Thank you from the bottom of my heart for a well presentation done.

Mini Hospital....

Since atok been home we have all the necessities equipments for his use and at last managed to order a wheelchair for him but not the particular one I wanted.

Atok was admitted to hospital on 1st February and discharged on 22nd April that gives almost 12 weeks of hospital stay and not 7 weeks as I mentioned before ..... excuse my poor brain eh ... hehe



Atok wheelchair a b'day present from Maria and family in the states.

Atok bilik termenong pun lengkap .... nanti saya pun nak pinjam bolih duduk baca magazine lama sikit nampak very comfortable kan ... dan kalau nak mandi lubang tu bolih di tutup sebagai kerusi.

The 4 legged walker I bought for him from St Luke's hospital and he has been using it a lot walking from his room to sitting room and toilet.....very handy indeed.

Today I had friends came for lunch and I just cooked a simple dish of mee bakso along with chicken curry eaten with french loaf.My first time trying this dish and it turned out yummy :)Recipe available at my kitchen.

To maklang semoga cepat sembuh dan cuma nak ingatkan cuba byk berehat dulu untuk masa ni ye?

Installation......


Today we celebrated the installation of prefects and student council of ACS(International) and soon after morning essembly and every friday the students have chapel service.Morning tea and snacks were provided to welcome these new panels of prefects and students council.The senior gave way to their new successors .

The followings are pictures I managed to snap besides filling my stomach with the yummy food... as tradition prefects from other colleges are invited to join in the celebrations.

Alhamdulillah....amin...

At 11.30am this morning I got a call from NUH to inform me that atok can be discharge ... wow did I hear it wrongly???No atok can come home and discharge time is 1pm.So I sms all the siblings to inform them but a handful responded.....Ram and Saat went to the hospital to see to his discharge and arrange for the ambulance ... thank you..thank you.It was like a dream after 7 weeks atok was in hospital finally he is home and best part I haven't even ordered the wheelchair yet so you know lah what I've been doing all afternoon and the particular wheelchair that I want no stock...adoiiii..........




This is for Simah as requested here is atok's picture taken half an hour ago....see all the blue black on his upper arm has subsided...and guess what atok walks to his favourite chair to watch tv ..... there goes the remote control ... hehehe .... The plaster is the wound site where they insert the tap to drain the fluid. Slowly and surely am hoping of atok's good recovery.



I recommend this book a very light reading but meaningful ...... minta tissue satu please.

Sea-food galore....

Atok is still warded in NUH and he is under strict isolation so as not to get any bugs from the air so we all have to wear a mask to enter his room.Alhamdulillah he looks ok and off oxygen.

I had 2 nites in a row of sea food dinner,yesterday after visiting atok at lunch time the '3 spice girls' minus 2 as 1 is away in Perth attending a wedding and spice girl Lina busy with chores.We went to Angsana shopping mall in JB to look and stuff for Maria to bring back to the states and after that to Damai Sea Food at Kpg Dangga for a yummylicious dinner .. treat from bro in law Saat but unfortunately the grade has dropped food isn't that good as it used to be....no pictures as I didn't bring my camera along.

Tonite again we had sea food dinner with spice sister Lina and family at the Chai Chee Seafood Restaurant.Its bro in law Yazid treat this time for sister Maria who will be going back on tuesday and I cuma tumpang makan...rezeki kot:)

Looks like next month I have to check on my cholestrol........urgggghhhhh.

Maklang came this morning into Singapore for a wedding and then after to visit Norabella and she has no time to catch up with me ... its ok we meet soon ye maklang?

Bro Zino is also here for a seminar he smsed to say he's walking around Orchard Rd this afternoon and I will meet him on tuesday after work as tomorrow I am oocupied being my sister Maria last day with us in sg.

Atok again.....

Atok is back to NUH again for pneumonia yesterday afternoon.His left lung is again surrounded by fluid and if it doesn't go away he prob may have to do the tap again.Atok oh atok tak nak balik rumah ke?dah 2.5 months in hospital macam suka sangat tinggal di hospital kan kan kan?

We want you home atok your new LCD TV 32 ins birthday present awaiting .... but I've been watching it first and once you are home there goes my chance of holding that remote controlllllllll.......hahahaha

No matter bapak kami semua doakan bapak cepat semboh ..... sebetul saya pun penat turun naik dr hospital ke hospital hari2 sampai rumah lewat dan kepenatan.So atok have mercy on this spice girl lah ok ..... hehehehe .... maaf saya mengeluh sedikit ye?

The musical.....


Yes I am going to watch P Ramlee The Musical next month at the Esplanade theater...tickets booked online and managed to get the balcony seat.I'll be going with Doc Adah and Huda as its her birthday that day so Huda this is your birthday present wokey?.... hehe

I've been waiting for this musical to come to singapore and alhamdulillah jadi kenyataan akhir nya only Sean Ghazi and Siti Nurhaliza won't be appearing.Nevertheless I will still enjoy the show.

Adah your tickets with me ye ... nanti on that day I pass to you.

Most awaited....

Finally I managed to download 'minah rempah' presentation and it took me more than 2 hrs to get it done on youtube.

Maklang,SilverSarina,Ummi,kaklady,Simah,mamamia and Cikmilah who have been patiently waiting to watch this video.

The presentation was a last minute change on friday evening when we rehearsed and we only had 10 minutes of doing it.Now we get to know the other side of our own sisters that we didn't see before ...... hahahaha

Watching the video takes time to upload so be patient ok esp those with slow connections of the internet.

I am glad Hassaan did a good job taping this for me as I was hidden behind .... hahaha ..... yg ligat kat tengah tu bukan main lagi kan kan kan......

ok now that you have watched the Jellanie spice girls in action any bookings?we can practise more to do a good job for your show.....hehehe

Atok's birthday bash.......

First of all I am glad to say that the birthday bash was successful inspite of the bad news I received at 2pm from the hospital that atok was having a fever suddenly and was also complaining of breathlessness.The doctor spoke to me of his condition and we were quite worry but nevertheless we took atok at 6pm and should he feels uncomforatable we will send him back ASP....but alhamdulillah he was ok so far throughout the bash and ofcourse one of us is always with him to make sure he's comfortable.

The whole event ran smoothly eventhough we were late to start as we had to wait for atok's arrival from the hospital and he was fetched by my sis Lina and bro in law Yazid.

Once everyone made their appearance we had a doa selamat lead by bro in law Saat and soon after the show began .....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ATOK......




Happy 80th birthday to atok semoga atok cepat sembuh dan dapat pulang ke pangkuan kami.
Thank you bapak for being there for all of us .... you are always in our heart and mind.
We cherished what you have done for us.

Happy 7th birthday also to Fareez at SA semoga besar menjadi anak yg akan membangakan ayah dan ibu ...... semoga menjadi anak yg soleh juga.

My sister Maria arrived today and I was unable to fetch her at the airport but we met at ACS Int as I can only get halfday leave from 1pm today.We the 5 spicegirls of Jellanie or rather 'minah rempah' hehehehe met up at the hospital this evening an then after to seafood dinner .... yum..yum.....

From Maria another handbag from states .... jgn jeles ye pada sesiapa yg membaca blog ni .... yee haa.....bag....bag....

To mamamia finally I learn my steps tonite .... surprise surprise......minah rempah akan mengemparkan mlm big bash ...... just wait ok?

Countdown.......

Atok's birthday is just round the corner and most of the preparations for the big bash almost completed.We will have another rehearsal maybe friday evening and oh boy I haven't even learn my steps for the daughters presentation .... hahaha .... surprise .... surprise .....the nephews and nieces are good with their songs and guitar ....

This is atok's birthday present that arrived today ... a LCD 32ins tv .... yippee I got to hold the remote control first ..... hahahaha ...... compliments from my youngest sis and bro in law -Aini & Kam ..... Thank You cause I got to share watching it .... and



The doorgifts for the children finally I finished doing them tonight with Wati's help.... banyak2 sibuk lor .... aiyooooooooo


We will only know if atok can be discharge on friday as the doctors think he is not ready to come home yet and if thats the case than we will apply a 5 hrs leave from the hospital so we can carry on with the big bash.

My sis Maria arriving tomorrow from the states to be with us on this special occassion and its been 3 yrs since she last came home.

Life at ACS today......

I just feel like writing an entry eventhough I've done earlier ......

Life is no bed of roses is a saying we've been hearing from our mother's time which is true in most cases but at times we do get free time to pamper ourselves even if its for half an hour and I think all of us deserve this break.....don't you agree?


After a busy day yesterday school is back to normal today,everyone is wearing the uniform no more national costumes......

As early as 9.00 students already start to stroll into the sick bay nothing to fear as I can handle it ... my first case came in headache and feeling unwell after checking her found to have fever of 37.8C so I called the father as mother is oversea and explained to him and gave her an early dismissal so dad can take her to see the doctor.

The rest are simple common cases except for a year 1 boy who came bleeding from his lt nostril after 15 minutes and a cold compress he was ok and went back to class.




After the morning assembly Ms.Divya came to my room and present me the above a small table runner of the school colour in appreciation of my help yesterday .... thank you Divya.

My lunch at 12.30pm at the school canteen ...... a cheezy chicken set for $3.50 ....

It starts to rain at around 2.30pm and students are all busy in class attending their lessons so I decide to go to the school library and yes borrowed 2 new books to read and mind you I almost finish reading the first book Mercu Kasih already .... Nora bagus cerita ni .... esok nak pergi lagi and browse more books.

Anugerah untuk Syamsiah sound good too after reading the prologue .... now that I have free time at the sick bay I can do lots of reading.

Int Friendship Day 2.......

Finally the most awaited day arrived the school students were busy changing their costume when I arrived.My girls sick bay was transformed as the girls changing room.Very interesting colourful world of costumes and aunty nurse too was in her baju kurung kedah .... tak nak kalah kan?

I was able only to snap the parade when they arrived to the hall an able to snap some pictures only as they have to be in the hall at a designated time for the guset of honour.

For your info my kuih cara lauk was sold out:)The students were to sell it for $1.50 per pack of 3 but they sold it for $1.00 only....padan ler cepat habis....hahaha

I left a plateful in the staff lounge and it was gone in half and hour too .... mesti sedap punya kan....hehee......no camera so no pictures even at the event hall of yummy food.

Preparationssssss......

One more week before we have the BIG 80 BASH....so yesterday Aini ,Ram and myself and their good halves did our preparation for the big day.We have lots of vouchers to give away for lucky winners and presents for games and for the sporting nephews and nieces who are going to perform too.

So dear nephews and nieces if you are reading this please come make it a success and we have a surprise performance too ... so be prepared!!!

Atok is looking forward having his children and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren present on this special occassion as we turn 80 only once .. insya'allah.

What did I do today?........





Today is saturday and thank awaiting day off jgn jeles eh to those yg kena kerja.I was awake since sebelum subuh .... its norm now a days I am up before sunrise. I start to do my billings at 7am and this morning was able to YM with maklang...its been ages we chat together but halfway thru' lahhhh she had to accompany cik abang sayang makan pagi pulak.





I did my cooking very early and by 9am all done ... sayur lodeh,paru goreng cili and ikan asin goreng...and thats what atok had for lunch berselera agak nya nak2 I letak sedikit sambal blacan...jahanam diet atok kalau misi nampak hancurrrrrrrrrr.





I didn't go to the hospital with Wati as I have other errands to do .... big projects that make me poorer .... hahaha ..... my first mission was to send those invoices to my main ex clinic at Orchard Rd ... so if you are at Orchard Rd you know rite what will happen next?I left at 11.15am and didn't get a cab till almost 11.45am so by the time I got there it was almost 12.30pm and after handing the invoices to them I went to Tangs to buy somthing forn Adriana as a surprise its a 'fondue' set so she can dip her strawberries in chocolate.Its a small ceramic one in a heart shape.Whilst I was paying at the cashier Aini sms to say they will be there in 5 minutes and will wait at Lucky Plaza.Mission to LP is to remit $$ to Marilou in the Philippines .... her salary as she doesn't want to carry them that day takut kena tahan .... I really have no time to do this errand as by the time I got home its past maghrib now adays and if I go and visit atok it will be past 8pm..Ok 1 job done so next we had lunch at Resto lah apa lagi makan ayam penyet but today I had the grilled chicken cicah kicap manis and cili...sedapppppp... after talking to the owner I got a discount member card jadi lah kan dapat 10% discount for future makan.








Adriana has to go to her speech and drama class and after leaving her and tante we drove to Centre Point as Aini and Kam need to get something .... you'll know what it is on atok's birthday or maybe on his discharge what they bought for him ok?...tunggu eh?Whilst they browse at that place I went to Mark & Spencer to buy ..........................








I overspentttttttttt ..... hehehe ...... and these are what I bought.....







A pair of black flatties .... my 2 feet been swollen since last week I used to have dependant oedema and whole of this week I couldn't even fit into some of my shoes ..... ni mmg amek peluang beli yg baru ..... hehehe ..... please don't ask the price kalau nak make a guess ok? I don't mind paying for it as long I can get my size ... maklum lah kaki gajah mmg susah nak beli kasut di negri sendiri. Can you see how swollen my foot is up there?and how pinkish it is?








I just love this pink stripe long sleeve blouse and guess what? its the same price as the pair of shoes ... adooooooiiiiiii.I will wear this on atok's big bash party and doa selamat.

Then buy 2 tees and get 3rd one free .... haha ... apa lagi ..... those 3 above are the tees I got myself ... ni kalau Wati nampak dia akan berkata .." kak yg i dalam almari tu banyak2 bila nak pakai?".....ok ok nanti kakak kemas almari yg dah nak pecah tu ye?

A bottle of eau e toilette too ... I just love to smell nice .....

And 2 more of these ..... ho..ho..ho... censored!!!!

While at the cashier counter I saw these milk choc turkish delight .... yum..yum .. bought 4 of them .... oh sungguh mengemok kan?
