Mad Hatter 2.....


Remember last week I made an entry on mad hatter? well today is the tea-party of the mad hatter and every 12 & 13 yr olds who comes to the tea party have to wear hats....hats of any shapes and colours.I went up to the function halls and volunteer parents and the students council committee were all busy organising the party.There are live bands and disco lights ... my its just like saturday nite fever lah .... the music was fantastic.I just wondered how much these rich parents contribute for the party from what I heard beribu2 takpe lah semua nya kaya raya makan duit tak habis punya.


Buns and rolls .......

Unfortunately I had to leave early at 3.30pm some of the parents want me to come and makan first before I leave but atok has an appt at NUH to see the orthopaedic specialist at 4pm and today he must be very tired as he has 3 appts at the hospital starting from 9.30am up to late afternoon. Wati and Aini and Kam kept him company till I arrive at 4pm and as usual 4pm appt was only seen at 5.45pm .... bengang juga di buat nya....when I ask whats the delay senang aje jawab ..."case note from urology dept belum tiba lagi"....huh?????on the way now ...... so if I keep quiet until tomorrow pun tak jumpa doctor agak nya......cock up system!!I write to the press kang baru tau......


When finally we were seen and left the hospital it was 6.30pm and the ambulance guys has been waiting.

Atok latest look with new haircut .... macam nak masuk national service kan?but cool .....

Another good news today finally the lift right to my door step is operational now .... in time for atok's discharge soon ..... tak payah turun naik tangga lagi untuk naik lift .. dah ada depan pintu rumah aje.

Meals .....

Now that I am off every saturday and sunday I am back to cooking - dapur ku kembali berasap deh and moreover I have extra mouth to feed.I think its been a while since I last battle in the kitchen after atok was admitted to hospital.Its 2 months now that atok has been in the hospital and that means I had left THD 2 months too oh how I miss Jurong Point the food court and shopping ... hahaha .... and ofcourse my dear x colleagues the fun and laughter.

Good news Atok is able to walk short distance now but ofcourse someone has to be around incase if he falls as he is not steady yet.Its an improvement and we are happy for him,yesterday the hairdresser came round to the hospital to give haircuts to the patients and atok was one of them and his cut really short 3X2 .... looks like he is going into national service..... hehehe




Below are the dishes I cook for saturday and sunday-today .... since I was woken up by non other at 6.30am this morning ... actually she must be feeling bored the other half far away so next victim is me lah ......

Jemput lah kemari ye ummi kalau nak makan marah nampak ummi kita? ..... thanks for waking me up this morning bagus juga ada alarm clock kan?


Here goes......... and b4 that I was with this royalty about cooking and in the end dia tak jadi memasak asyik busy berYM with me .... hahaha .... so malam jadi tak masak sotong and udang tu?





Ikan pari goreng cili ..... pedassssssssssss.


Cabbage goreng telur....




Ketam masak lemak ...... yummy ........... pun sedap sampai hirup gravy nya.....hahaha



Now I have Wati to clean the bean sprout .... dulu selalu beli yg siap di petik harga 3 x ganda tapi skg ada yg menolong ......

So this morning I fry kway teow with cockles .... pun sedap 2x tambah ..... hmm .... bila lah nak diet ni???

Curry chicken for today's lunch .... makan ngan hot rice and later nak fry begedil pulak.

Another way is eating it with french loaf ..... agak tambah 5x pulak ..... hehehe

Mad Hatter.....



The mad hatter tea party for year1 students was suppose to be held today thursday 27th March but due to unavoidable date clash it has been postpone till monday 31st so as compensation all yr1 students were given a free cookie today at 3.30pm after school.



Below are pictures I managed to snap before these children go home....I miss the triplets 3 indonesian boys...they are so cute.












If only I can say I am in year 1 ..... hahaha .... that cookie sure look so tempting.

The Plan.......



In 2 wks time it will be atok's 80th birthday and we have planned a big bash for him and we made this known to him.He is looking fwd to have all the Jellanies to be present on his birthday.. even my sister from the states will be here for the big occassion.This is one way for atok to get well as we want him to have fun on that day.



Special thanks to bro in law Saat for the lovely designed invites and itinerary and planning and also to sister Aini who has booked a function room at her residence.Thank you too to all who have kindly contribute cash vouchers etc and gifts to lucky winners.We are all working together for a successful bash.To my nephews and nieces who are reading this please get yourself ready to practise and rehearse your contributions for that night.I am also hoping that Imran Ajmain will be able to help me out with songs for the nephews and nieces .... hey Imran I am still waiting for your sms again.....Mus please remind him eh ..... haha....



I am contributing gifts for the lucky draw and games too and as for food we are catering them but of course dear sisters and sisters in law your contributions for desserts are most appreciated and to the Jellanie siblings the more contributions of $$$ means we can have a merrier gathering......

We the children of Jellanie Manaff are hoping for atok speedy recovery and we want you to enjoy your 80th birthday soon bapak.

At atok's request he only wants his children and spouses,grandchildren and greatgrandchildren to celebrate with him....

ps Atok is expected to be discharged on 9th of April.



Insya'allah our plan will be a success ..... amin.

Finally.....

Now that I have time finally I managed to do some reading in between seeing the students in the sick bay.I bought these 2 books almost half a year ago and am glad to say I finally finish reading them in 1 week.Nor Ash good books esp Rinduku Di Angin Lalu I really enjoyed reading it ... please let me know when your next novel is out ye? Hati Seorang Wanita a little too heavy - too many characters involved but then this is my honest opinion maybe others have own opinions rite?




Yesterday I start reading the book below which I think its a superb book to read .... The Secret is about positive thinking and never giving up hope.Maybe I will watch the DVD and that remind me to borrow it from Aini.

I was reading this today when a year 3 student came in and then saw the book and straight away she expresses how good the book is -even her parents are reading it.I told her to get the DVD from Borders where my sister got hers.Cath if you are reading this entry go get this book from Amazon.....hahaha

Once I finish this book I will go to the school library to borrow more books instead of buying now...hehe.... the beauty of working in a school where library is within reach.The 2 librarian are very friendly too.One thing about a private school they are very generous to the students and staff,they are well provided in every ways.

Someone sms and ask how I'm doing at the school?the truth I have NO REGRETS and I am very happy and gets along well with the principal,vice principals and teachers....and also the non academic staff.The students are used to me now even when I go to the canteen sometimes for lunch they will come to my table and greet me.

Today 2 girls from year 2 came just to chit chat with me during their break and guess what they say?"auntie I am sure you are lonely so we come to chat with you".... they are so cute!!! girls for the visit.

Then we have those who come hoping I will let them rest sorry I see case to case especially if I know they are cons ..... like today I had a girl who came in at 3.30pm complaining that she has tummy upset for few days after eating oysters few days ago???and she said the wrong the thing ... want to know what she said??? can you send me off early?????sorry you are not since she complains of tummy ache I gave her a hot compress and she can jolly well rest in my sick bay till the bell rings at 4.30pm and go home.......I emailed to her tutor and Vice Principal as usual to inform them who is resting in my sick bay and her tutor replied 'elle I am glad you kept her back!!!'....hahaha ..... but once again I do have genuine cases with high fever etc and this is when I will call the parents or guardians for those foreign students asking them to fetch them home.As of this week I've been authorised to send students off for early dismissal whom I think are sick unlike before early dismissal forms are signed by the Vice Principals...... .... another credit to me.

Today we have to say farewell to our dear helper Marilou as her 1 month is up.As planned before she was to stay for 2 months but due to her visa she is only allowed 1 month stay.It was nice of her to come and help look after atok all the way from Manila,she is very hard working having her things are tip top.The last 1 week she has been teaching Wati our new helper from Indonesia and we hope Wati will be as hard working as her mentor.

Last night Aini and family and myself had dinner at nearby Bukit Batok where I live to give Marilou a treat....and later that night we went to stay at Aini's as both of them haven't been to see the new place.

Adriana first swimming lesson brought all of down to the pool to give her moral support......hahaha
