To all my nieces who frequent this blog and to all friends of the blogland.Nothing much for today just curry chicken with french loaves and fried mee.I may go down later to see if the makcik stall open or not so I can get some epok2(karipap lah Simah)then perhaps can fry some.Actually I need a hair cut very badly its getting very unruly....yeah go for a hair cut for the new year look...hehehe..

Everyone gone and I am home alone with father,kitchen being cleaned and I am ready for the evening tv shows.Two of my sisters and family gone to watch the countdown 2007 mm.....I'd rather be in my bed zzzzzzzzzzzzz....hehehe.We had lots of other food beside what I cooked today that I had to ask my sisters to pack some home.The girls were playing with my camera and here's what they were up to.

I can't think my mind gone bananas...plenty of things I wanna do for the year 2006
maybe I did achieve some and for the rest carry fwd to 2007 .... my one wish for next year I want to make that trip to meet up my 'sisters' in KL so adik2 akak we'll meet soon ok?

Today is my niece Kristina's 31st birthday.Yes I have a grown up niece and live in the states.She writes book for the slow learners and also on history.She was here in 2005 for hari raya and here's her picture with some of her cousins. To Kris here's wishing you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND MERRY CHRISTMAS too from the Jellanie's clan in Singapore. This samosa instead of using potatoes I always use minced beef which is the family's favourite.I guess being left alone at home the last 3 days I feel like doing something when its quiet.I did make a movie of this recipe but you-tube is down at the moment will upload the making for you to see step by step.So to Simah,mama sarah,ajzie,kak teh and anyone who are overseas who have difficulty in getting local ingredients this is no sweat you can get them from your local grocery shop.

Nodoubt its tedious doing it but its worth the effort.Here I am sitting for an hour folding and getting the fillings into it and at last managed to do 120 pieces.I will keep them in the freezer and fry them on hari raya haji that is if I tell none of them should they drop by on their way home from KL and JB.If they know I make these today it will be gone in no time-they love it.

You have to eat them when its still hot as its very crispy......hehe

Since I forgot to buy the mixed veges I replace it with garden peas.....ok ok I hope you -tube is back to normal soon.So look out for my video of kak elle's samosa step by step.....hehe

Maybe I shoud open up another blog on recipes...what do you think?

We had our xmas lunch today and since management buat pekak we did it our way.When FT is around she will organise lunch on xmas eve for us from her own pocket.Since she is away whole month I tried to organise just a small makan for the 5 of us...small clinic so only 5 staff....2 nurses,2 receptionist and a dispenser.Walaupun boss kita kat our branch tu baik ( he gave his hamper to us to share)but most time staff party is organised by our main branch mmm...tahun ni senyap mungkin tak dapat turkey ler tu .. kalau tidak sibuk panggil kita semua turun but we never did so far.We just do our own and from own money too....hehe....Adah is different she's not even our boss just an employee but always think for the staff and like today she paid for the pizza lunch.I better mention here that you won't be able to see her photo because she makes me promise that I won't put up her picture ....doc ni malu kot:)

As mama sarah said in my last entry "What a brilliant way to distribute the hamper. tak payah gaduh-gaduh kan after the lucky draw......memang betul so my idea was good kan?What you pick is what you get and I think everyone is pleased with their pick.Actually we have never done this before we just eat and thats it except FT will give us something besides the lunch.I told the girls I will do it this way so at least we get to bring home not one but two presents....so do you think I am doing the right way?

My other 2 sisters going to stay at JB Hyatt for 2 nites from tomorrow and have invited me if I want to join them?Most likely I will decline - if I want to go I'll go to KL and meet my bloggers friends.My bro in law who had the stroke in october passed his medical and driving test today so he's allowed to drive once again.Syabas Kam for that strong will to overcome your sickness.

Ok everyone have a nice long weekend and with this kind of weather I'd rather stay home and relax.

My previous mobile only 10 months old and in very good condition N7360 and today I finally decide to change to Samsung Z230 at zero dollar.....free phone and free 3G sim card too.
Adah and I went to one of M1 partner shop at lunch time to have our phone upgraded at zero dollar.I am still playing with my new toy setting up all the gadgets etc....tak tido lah mlm ni nampak nya.The phone cost S$398/- without line.I am happy with my decision to try a samsung this time and so far I find it very user friendly too.Now want to learn about bluetooth and how to use it to download songs and movies.Simah I got a samsung now.....hahaha
Whenever I upgrade I always look for the cheapest or zero dollar and its worth it and all I need to do is just continue using the provider and afterall I've been with M1 for more than 10 yrs.

Now do I consider this a xmas present to myself or early birthday present ????hahaha......come february I will probably buy another thing and thats a birthday present to myself:)

From my last entry my new found friends in blogland seem disappointed that I decide not to go to KL this weekend ntah lah hati ni berbelah bagi. Sya and myself chat on MSN last nite and kak lady smsing with me at almost at midnight.I promise I will come up soon but not at this bad weather mungkin ada hikmah di sebalik ini semua.Insya'allah kaklady,maklang,sya and pisces we get to meet soon.My niece Huda been trying her best to talk me into going telling about the big sales in Kl etc....thank you eh Huda that you still think of your big aunty...takpe you go and enjoy yrself with Nazz,Dopey and Shasha and don't forget to buy something for me.Tell papa to drive carefully ok?

Tomorrow we kind of having xmas lunch with exchange gifts from each other and since the management buat pekak aje we might as well do it ourselves and at this moment I like to thank Adah for giving us the treat tomorrow even though you are just an employee like us but your kind thoughtfullness means a lot.Dah lah cukup you share your hamper with us today and the other day Dr Yeoh also gave me his hamper to share with the girls and guess what?The goodies in the basket will be part of our draw lots so its fair that each staff will get something each its a matter of our luck what we pick up and to FT even though you are away in England I will pick your share and save it till you come back next month.

Intense rainfall causes flooding in Singapore
Continuous intense rainfall in the past 15 hours has caused localised flooding in various locations around Singapore.


Workers at nurseries along the Thomson road stretch could be seen wading through waters that were waist high.





A couple of buses plying the route outside MacRitchie Reservoir also seemed to have stalled and needed the help of nearby construction workers and policemen to get through the flooded areas.
According to the Meteorological Services Division, this is the period of the Northeast Monsoon where generally wet weather is expected. Rainfall for this month is likely to be above average for most parts of Singapore and the wet weather is expected to continue for the rest of the week.

Yes we had nothing but rain all day yesterday and I had to walk in the heavy rain to get to the train and luckily the train station is just 5 minutes walk from where I live.The day before I was drenched wet like a mouse on my way home because I was without an umbrella and I think even with a brollie its of no use as the rain was really at its heaviest.

Even now at 5am the rain still there and may carry on all day again.Is it still raining in Malaysia?The flood could be worst than in singapore eh?Its true the rain is a blessing from above but can be difficult for everyone to move around rite?Looks like housewives will look forward to sunny days to hang their washings.

Hmmm........if only I don't have to go to work alangkan indah nya berselubong bawah comforterrrrrr....betul tak?

So whats the plan for the long weekend?I maynot go to KL afterall to join my sis and brother and their families the thought of the jam at the causeway mak oi make me think twice nak fly airport tax $115/- tak berbaloi....but then may change my mind who knows.To kak lady,maklang,Sya and pisces sorry kalau tak dapat berjumpa tapi akan tunda trip kelain masa.To my sis Lina and bro Fandi drive carefully on friday musim hujan the road will be slippery and have a good time and masa berseronok tu ingatkan lah kat your poor kakak ni yg tak bersama......sob...sob....sedeh.....tapi kalau nak sponsor tiket kapal terbang most welcome.....hahaha.

For christmas this year my incharge is on long vacation so I plan with the staff lets have a small lunch and each of us buy a gift for exchange.Yesterday Dr.Choong gave each of us a xmas present as she won't be seeing us till after the christmas a very practical present indeed.Thank you Dr Choong.
I wrote to FT last night and eventhough she is away she wants to be included in the gift exchange and lunch will be on her but I pay first ... no sweat! Thanks FT for the kind gesture and I will eat your share for you and most likely we'll do it on saturday after work at 1pm.

Yang mana satu.........

all these phones are 3G , MP3, Bluetooth and with Camera & Video

I completed 21 months contract so can upgrade and I can trade in my present N7360 for $100/- and if I decide to get the samsung Z230 I don't have to pay anything its $0.00 and no trade in that means I can keep my hp afterall I have 2 lines.Never use samsung before so any comments from those who are using samsung phones? The Motorola V3x I have to pay $98/- and N6280 $68/- oh murah kan...kan...kan....

Cannot decide maybe tak payah tukar my phone pun baru beli last birthday tapi another birthday coming soon ... org macam I selalu suka beli present sendiri pada hari jadi sendiri....hahaha....

Perhaps should wait for next saturday offer .. who knows better offer then I won't regret:)

Kekurangan satu pasang tangan membuat kerja harian di tempat kerja menjadi sibuk untuk ku.Dari masuk jam 8.30pagi tak berhenti sampai jam 1 tengah hari....tak berhenti mengambil darah,membersehkan luka2 dan berbagai tugas harian seorang jururawat.Hmm....gambar di atas tu kalau lah ada yg sambut kita pulang kepenatan kan syiok.....hehehe (sorry ek takde gambar lain melainkan si anjing ).Selalu nya I masuk jam 9pagi dan sekarang terpaksa keluar awal 1/2 jam.

Saya pasti ramai kekawan blogging pun mesti ada yg senasib ngan saya lebih2 ni musim cuti ramai yang mengambil cuti tahunan bak kata omputeh 'we are doing 3 people's job during the holidays'.Biasa lah kat clinic sentiasa sibuk...macam2 kerena.............tapi semua ini dah memang tugas jadi terpaksa membuat nya macam hari ahad nama aje hari kelepasan tapi kerja rumah pun kena buatkan?

Ini lah nasib badan ... nak retire masih bolih kerja dan selagi tulang empat kerat ni bolih membuat nya teruskan aje lah...tak kerja takde duit nanti....betul tak? Nak bershopping tak bolih kerana semua nya perlukan duit.

Hey merepek pulak hari ni ..... ni ada satu aim nak tukar handphone motorola v3x series smlm M1 ada advertise upgrade for $98/- 3G,MP3,BLUETOOTH and 2.0megapixel camera at the moment mine a N7360.....maybe tonite pergi tengok...dengan ni meriah juga fikiran.

Another sunday is here again.......too fast...too fast......

Woke up early as usual even though its sunday did my reading,washing and off to the market at 8.30am.While browsing thru' what to buy to stock the freezer decide to cook mee rebus today.Off to mak cik stall to get all the necessary ingredients for mee rebus....ini lah kekadang bila mood datang lain yg nak di masak ade aje masuk di fikiran ..betul tak?


Housework on a sunday?? hey its my day off how come I have to do all these?hmm....if not me than who else going to do it for me?ishhhhhhhh .....housework....nape kena buat ni semua? If only I'm a genie....whoooooooooooosh...all done.....hehe.The ironing will be done later in the evening after I bring in the washing and hope it will be sunny all day.

ok now its time for lunch and after that ...... siesta for few hours.....what a life?I am sure you all will agree that a housewife work is never done rite?

So friends here's another lucky friend going on one month holiday well I shouldn't be jealous I did have my chance of 7 wks holiday before but I want to go againnnnnnnnn.
Every end of the year its normal for every family to go on holiday and in today's newspaper all transportation for this month fully booked.Remote places where no one want to go are being snapped too.

To Adah and family who are also on vacation next week .... have fun in MIRI and make sure you don't miss the flight back.......hahaha......akan ku ceritakan satu hari nanti:) PS Adah I was told Miri beautiful place and Damai beach facing China Sea is just great and don't forget to go on the river rafting - a challenge for the boys.

HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY TO SHAFIQAH.

Yesterday was Shafiqah's 15th birthday and my pc went on strike sorry ah Fiq otherwise you get to read this yesterday but better be late than never rite?I tried to put an entry last nite but I just couldn't get explorer to open(gila) and I was very frustrated as I wanted so much to wish you a very happy birthday and anyway you already got the b'day present unless you think there's more....hehehe. I heard that you guys had a lovely weekend driving up to Cameron Highland besides KL and did a lot of shopping in misaiman land:)

To my dear friends and readers sorry no entry the last few days been too occupied and today also work late to submit all the e-claims for November as today is last day for submission.
Nothing much to report after that roti jala entry - to Simah try and do it ok..its easy,you can't go wrong.Adah thanks for coming to help finish the roti jala and am glad the family enjoyed them.Although FT didn't get that bryani rice well I brought some roti jala to work on monday and we had that for lunch.

Lets see what I gonna dish out this sunday.....mmm..... plenty I can think of but all depend on my mood....hahaha.Actually I haven't done yam cake for a while ... nope years I think.Yes yam cake is actually something like kuih talam lauk only I put diced yam and then top it with minced beef and I do them in microwave - very easy.Well if I do it will certainly put a pic of it in the blog.Judy I will email you the samosa recipe you want soon.

Wow its coming to end of the year soon time really flies and too fast ..... macam mana ni eh belom puas lagi ngan 2006.

ROTI JALA AND BEEF CURRY..

Yes I did the roti jala and beef curry for today's meal maybe for lunch and dinner.Ni semua gara2 kempunan tak dapat rasa masa kat wedding last sunday...hehe... actually dapat ambil dari chef but couldn't find a place to sit so gave it to my nephew and it was so yummy because people are queing for it, the chef will do it there and then so its piping hot.Adah nak tak?mai lah.....It will only be and my father today so only did one portion more than enough for the 2 of us.My 2 sisters Aini and Ram and family in KL and staying at Crown Princess so they probably will eat at Ampang Plaza or the Indian Restaurant somewhere there can't remember the name just before Hotel Nikko.My brother in Kluang just sms him if he wants to come and get it and he says he kat Kluang visiting the sis in law.My sis Lina say if driver nak drive she will come because they were here yesterday.... so looks like that lot of roti jala mine to eat all day......hahaha

OK we enjoyed the movie yesterday the songs were good and its more for the children but nevertheless the adult do enjoy it too.I did put up a trailer of it in my last entry.After complaining of having KFC for 3 straight days last week after the show I asked the girls what they want to eat?Oh boy majority KFC...........alahai.............after that we did some shopping and bought Happy Feet tees for Nana and mak oi S$16/- and also bought for her snow white tees and the big sister a pair of loafers and for myself nothinggggg.We did some groceries shopping at the supermart and bought chocolates for them.

Over the xmas period I will be in KL so if any of my blogger friend free can we meet up.I will be staying the Zon in the Park at Jalan Ampang .. its behind komtar TR formally known as SuiteStay.We have booked 2 units of 2 bedrooms apartment with breakfast for 3 days.My sis Lina and brother Fandi and family will leave earlier and will drive to Malacca first and poor me not sure yet as I will be leaving alone on saturday after work,perhaps I will use my mileage free SQ ticket and fly there.Can anyone help me whats the easier and cheaper way to get to Jln Ampang from KLIA?Please email me if you can spare free moment to meet and I'll give you my contact number.I hope I can get the ticket knowing its xmas weekend - can't take the train as Sinaran ptg leaves at 1.30pm and I have to work till 1 pm to replace my colleague who is on long vacation and FT if you reading this have a good holiday and don't forget my present.....hahaha...

Mulan after using the mileage for KL I still have balance of 33,000 miles so perhaps can go to Saigon eh? for Saigon by SQ I only need to use 20,000 so till have balance of 13,000 but can't go anywhere as minimun for asian country is 20,000 miles.

Hmmm....time to mop the house and change the bedlinen in my father's room.Ciao for now till later.

Happy feet movie is now showing at the cinemas and being school holiday I will be bringing my nieces tomorrow anyone else keen to watch? Come over to Sg and I will treat you.Maklang and kaklady macam mana budak2 nak tonton sama tak?I suggest send them by DHL kata mak maklang sampai hati!ala maklang kita bersenda aje lagi pun kan kalau pakai DHL dia org berat sangat....haha..I guess we will enjoy the music and dance in this movie.

The last 3 nights I had nothing but KFC chicken for the reason on wednesday night on the way home to the taxi stand decided to buy it home for dinner and for the 2 of us that is my dad and me I bought the family feast...apa ke tidak 8 pieces chicken,2 medium whipped potato,coleslaw and 2 large popcorn chicken.Tonight I had the last 2 pieces and popcorn chicken....aduhai all the fats.....arggggggghh!!

This sunday ingat nak buat roti jala makan ngan kari ayam or beef....tapi tengok lah dulu rajin ke tidak - mood ni kekadang bolih tukar sekelip mata..betul tak kekawan?
