Goodbye dear Nurin semoga roh mu di cucuri rahmat ..... amin.

Nurin, 8, disappeared on 20 Aug when she went on her own to a night market near her home at Section One in Wangsa Maju, in KL.
She was last seen being dragged into a white van by a man.

We've been reading about her disappearance the last one month and just imagine during that last one month what she went through .... the sufferings and tortured by someone called ANIMAL but then even an animal knows how to love its youngs.

My wish like others all over Malaysia is that the culprit be caught soon but there could be more than one sick person who preys on young and innocent children out there.

After putting up a strong front for weeks, Nurin's father breaks down as he looks at his daughter's body for the last time.

Nurin's mother sprinkling holy water on her grave as her family watches.

Yesterday, more than 1,000 people from all over Malaysia reportedly

turned up to bid the little girl who wrenched a thousand hearts goodbye.From the pictures I can see that the siblings are very pretty indeed the eldest sister in green has a very pretty eurasian/arab look cantik sekali.

Every blog hop I did everyone is writing about arwah Nurin so I decide to give my say too today.

Last nite eventhough was a saturday I had my iftar alone as my siblings had their own agenda.The whole week I've been late getting home and had no time to cook so yesterday I finally had home cooked food of .................

Tonite we've been invited by dear sister Ram to have iftar together and venue is at sis Aini's place I guess she is giving a treat being her birthday yesterday but I will of course bring a dish to add to what she will be getting .... infact her request for me to fry bee hoon let see what I'm gonna do and what style of fried bee hoon.... kita tunggu eh?

Another weekend is here again and its back to work tomorrow and I don't think I had enough rest yet.

Last night I was busy packing the dates that I got few days ago.

What do you do with a 5kg kurma? Well I am sharing them with my siblings of course:)I bought the containers and start to pack them last nite.I smsed them not to buy them as I have plenty to share with them.Managed to pack 9 containers and these will be our appetiser for iftar thats round the corner.

This was my dinner last night after packing the kurmas I felt hungry as last meal was at 12.30pm lunch of laksa.My 4th sis will norm come on saturdays with brunch for my father and she bought roti jala and roti boyan.My dad kept the roti jala for me but since I bought laksa I had that instead.At 9pm wanted to warm up the roti jala and to my disappointment it had turn bad sticky and smelly .... I guess the person who made them must have done it very early in the morning before sending them to retailers at the markets/stalls so it doesn't keep till night.I had no choice but to defrost my frozen prawns wanton and thats the wanton soup above and I had all 12 wantons .... *greedy eh?*

Woke up early and went to market at 7.30am .... ah its so nice to be first comers and you don't have to fight with the makciks and ah sohs....haha

Decide to cook spinach with sweet potato soup and sotong hitam,buying the stuff was a breeze no waiting at all.Also bought 3 types of fish,beef,prawns and other stuffs.

Got home and start the battle of cleaning and cooking and then scrub the kitchen floor and toilets.

For the stingray this is what I cook ..... chili.....chili.....chili......and so sedap:)Cath and OD masih ada nak tak?

Heavy rain yesterday causes this flood in certain areas in sg and partly because of the high tide too.

We've been getting lots of rain lately and the weather been cool all day and night.More rain are expected this week so I am prepared with an umbrella to work.

I left the clinic sharp at 6pm today so am able to cook simple dinner of yong tofu ..... hehehe....in this kind of cool weather its nice to have a hot soup of yong tofu:)

Just simple a dish actually I bought these stuff yesterday to cook but when I got home father already bought chinese rojak so its tonight's dinner then.
I finally get to make use of the frozen otah2 I bought 3 weeks ago and I open the crab meat otah-otah and its nice and tasty.

The soup base is ikan bilis broth and I add knorr tomyam paste .... sejuk2 makan pedas2 sikit sedap kan?

Put a bit of noodle to go with the rest of yong tofu stuff.

Here's the result a yummy hot tomyam yong tofu ......

The incredible tales continues..............banyak juga response kan and after reading nor ash burn comment oh my seram juga kan?so remember next time if you are warded check who comes to your room ..... hehehe

Opad de N3 also quite scary esp at the end of the bed ......

I also learn of the missing Nurin from opah de's blog and I sincerely hope she is found now in 1 piece.Knowing she is suffering from kidney ailment hope she is ok.I don't read the malaysian news as I just don't have enough time to browse so if of you kind friends read and knows please leave me a message of the progress of her search.

To all my malaysian friend in the cyberworld 'SELAMAT MENYAMBUT HARI MERDEKA' on friday 31st August....where ever you are.

I will put an N3 of the continuation another day of JH where I work from 1971 - 1995 as requested by my niece Nazz and hey thats where she was born in 1988.
Much have been heard of Alexandra Hospital and as the saying goes seeing is believing!!

Another weekend is here again and that means homework to do ...aaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhh!!!

The last few days I craved for ice cream banyak yg bertanya ..... have no answer to it .... just a sudden crave and maybe sweet tooth attack....hehe

Thursday nite came home quite early too at 6.30pm so managed to dish out a simple dinner and tak malas*senyum*

I defrost the prawns and soaked the bee hoon and fried them ala my style lah - simple only.
Just add sliced cabbage and carrots and prawns.
Even managed to bring some to work and shared with the girls.

Yesterday bought 3 boxes of these Sharon persimmons ... $4.20 for a box of 6 on offer otherwise selling at $5.20.

Beautiful,sweet and cruncy just the right texture for a good bite ........

Today for dinner I tried doing the ayam serai again.Cam mana maklang pass tak kali ni?I chopped to small pieces and make sure the serai kering.The last try habis juga I rata and sucked the serai ... yummylivious.

This whole chicken will last till tomorrow's lunch unless cat cat want some will send thru FEDEX.....Cath dengar tak?

There's a big celebrations at the community club with the mayor of my area and MP's coming for the National Day..Singapore 42 birthday.Loud noise with music and lion dance,kompang and the indian drums playing .... noise poluttion and its just across the road.

After I took this picture .... hujan selebat lebat nya.

Whole of last week was for the 7th month chinese celebrations with getai lasting till late at night ... mmm my house have lots of activities opposite.I am waiting for the pasar malam to appear so I can browse around and buy dinner on my way home.

We meet again on this sunday afternoon .... oh wow how the days just go by rite?

Another sunday so it means its cooking time for me

again.As usual when its your day off these eyes of mine just refuse to sleep longer ggrrrrrrrrr ........... I was awake at 5am so on the tv and watch whatever is on & tuned to tv2 and they were showing an island where they did deep-sea diving and showing the different kind of fishes found below.Of course si handsome Hans Isaac was there ... cute guy sayang Erra didn't choose him ... eh Hans if I am 20yrs younger I will tackle you lah ...... hahaha.

I did my washing read the papers and decide to wash the kitchen floor so this morning I was fighting with the brush and scrub the kitchen floor and after drying it start to do my cooking.

I cook chicken curry,cucumber pickle and fry some begedil.

Finished cooking around 10plus and I decided to do some kuih cara berlauk since I still have leftover of the minced beef.

Whilst doing it my sister Ram and family arrived and when she came to the kichen and saw what I was doing she requested for durian cara???? yep I did that before as I told QOTH its just a matter of adding and subtracting certain items and you can creat your own.

I told Ram if she wants cara durian she has to go down and buy the durian opp my place as I am too lazy to go.Bro in law was downstairs so she called him to get some.

Did another portion of the batter and and this time putting 3 tablespoon of sugar and the durian pulp ~~mashed~~ whipped till creamy.The result ?? .... mesti lah yummylicious ...... hehehe.....

Today's kuih cara berlauk turned out better than the last time as I added a bit more water so its more softer.

The durian pulp whipped till creamy.

Add a teaspoonful of the durian pulp in the centre while cooking... a bit messy:)

The result ..... yum..yum..just look at that creamy durian in the centre and after that place 2 of them together..... maklang nampak tak durian tu kat tengah2?yg separuh dah pun di dalam nya masa memasak.

Fold them together with the durian cream in the centre.

I kept 6 of these for myself and the rest?? haha ..... dah kena tah-pau by my 2 sisters along with some of the cara berlauk. I didn't get as much as cara berlauk because I need to paste the 2 together and maybe can do again next week:)insya'allah if the durian uncle is around.

After eating the cara durian I am too full to have rice and curry chicken now and later have to do my billing again

if only I can turn myself like the smiley and forget doing it ... hehehe ..... if I don't do it today I still have to do it another day..... oh what the hack!!

Yesterday 21st April Norabella and I get to meet the writer for the novel of HATI SEORANG WANITA non other Ms Noraisah A Bakar aka nor ash burn:)
Appt was fixed for 12.30pm at Lot 1 for lunch after work and as I was off duty earlier I took a cab(as usual) there and I was indeed very early so I start to browse around at the small mall but couldn't find anything nice except managed to buy something for Mulan's 2 kiddos since I will be meeting her hubby today who is in S'pore for work I think or issit shopping ah mulan?Mulan has something for me from Vietnam so thats why I have to find my way to meet him(mulan I think I get my bro in law Saat to represent me lah)....haha...I ni pemalu sikit tau!!...
Anyway mulan I hope Zarif and Marsha will like what I have for them and for you that pack of Shan Bryani Bombay....buat jangan tak buat-biar satu HCMC can smell that aromaaaaaaaaaaa.

This is our celeb Nor Ash Burn scribbling on the books for Nora and me.

To maklang and loveujordan......taraaaaaaaaaaaaaa my breakfast today non other my favourite fruit cheese on toast with a cup of 3 in 1 nescafe.......oh no! there goes my waist lineeeeeeeeee.

For today I had the apricot and almond cheese and its so yummylicioussss.......oh oh I can see you drooling .... ish ish here take this tissue and wipe it ..... hehe....

For today I will be cooking ayam lemak cili padi.............

Kakelle and makan2 tak bolih di-pisahkan!!

Simah you are rite I can't be separated from my food otherwise I find it hard to pen down an entry.... besides mulan and mama sarah have given the green light writing about food....haha....thank you....thank you :)Simah also ask 'esok masak apa akak?'....well simah maybe buat carrot cake aka lontong goreng but my style....see how I feel tomorrow ok?

As mentioned in my last entry a colleague's hubby passed away yesterday which up to now I still cannot accept it.I went to the wake at the singapore casket with Adah and met some of our colleagues there past and present.It was indeed a very sad atmosphere I gave Esther a hugged and tears were at the corner of my eyes and Edna was already in tears.Eventhough we don't work in same branch but we've been colleagues for over 20 yrs so its like a big family.I work with her for about 6 months in 2005 when I had to relief a staff there at our main branch at Orchard Rd.

Diam tak diam rupa nya suami dia sakit semenjak 3 tahun yg lalu dgn bara yg sampai dia pergi punca nya belum pasti.Segala peperiksaan sudah di buat tapi gagal mencari punca nya.Banyak yg di ceritakan tentang kesedihan yg di alami,banyak surgery yg di alami,dlm 3 tahun tu banyak chemotheraphy dan radiation,scan dan segala2 yg perlu.Mendiang suami tabah dgn peperiksaan dia mahu di teruskan mungkin dia pun nak tahu apa dan dimana punca bara nya.Dek kerana radiotheraphy dia kehilangan nafsu makan sebab tekak nya dah rosak dan lagi pun lidah nya dah tak bolih merasa apa yg dia makan dan di dalam 3 tahun ni juga dia hanya hidup dengan susu dan ginseng dan chicken essence selain dari vitamins dan ubat2 dari doctor.Berat badan nya turun 20 kg.Hari ni pertama kali saya melihat mendiang suami nya .... susut sekali badan dia kalau di bandingkan dari gambar yg terletak di sudut meja.Kami bersama memberi nya semangat dan berbual dgn Esther hingga satu jam.Doa ku supaya Esther kuatkan semangat untuk hidup dgn 2 org anak lelaki nya sekarang dan harapan penyakit yang dia alami sendiri tak akan menjatuhkan semangat dia untuk terus hidup.

Adah dan saya bertolak dari sana jam 7 mlm dan terus ke Arab Street untuk beli makanan.Maklum lah mlm minggu ni jalan raya semua nya jam dan lagi hujan lebat.

Kami membeli nasi bryani dari Islamic Restaurant dan kemudian

Murtabak dari Victory Restaurant.

Ajzie mungkin tahu tempat2 ni kan?Ini lah murtabak yg famous.

Adah beli banyak juga untuk bawa

pulang ke Muar esok sebab mak dan

abah nya pesan....mengidam agak nya.

Saya pun beli lah 2 bungkus bryani and 2 keping murtabak tu tapi bila sampai rumah bapak dah makan roti dan lagi pun dia memang jaga apa yg dia makan sekarang.

Nampak nya bryani dan murtabak makan esok lah.

Saya suruh Adah turun kan supaya saya bolih balik naik taxi dari Bukit Panjang dan kalau tak salah berhadapan dgn rumah Norabella...mm...tunggu punya tunggu takde taxi so jalan lah ke bawah menuju ke Bukit Panjang Community Club dan alhamdulillah baru dapat taxi.Excersice lah sikit tu konon nya..... hahaha....

Sunday 15th April .... 9pm

Hari ni ahad banyak berehat dari berkerja for a change:)

Pepagi bangun selepas semua urusan mula lah sibuk di dapur jam 8.30 pagi.Teringin pulak nak makan taucu telur nasib semua benda ada.

Ni pun favourite adik2 esp Aini mereka tak masak ni kat rumah mungkin tante tak tau.

Simah ni yang kak elle kata smlm nak buat carrot cake.Nak buat recipe ada kak dapur kakelle.
