Teachers Day ......

Teachers day was celebrated with a bang at the school today .... soon after school assembly and friday sermon the school concert begins.....

Awards were given to teachers in many catergories from teachers with most smile to dressing,hairstyle etc ....... its just like emmy awards ...

Then a presentation by the school orchestra and a preview of the 'Caberet under the star' a musical which will be staged on 18th and 19th Sept.... the staff all get free ticket ($20/-) but can upgrade for $40/- with food.

Best part of the concert were the teachers performance ..... we laugh till tears in our eyes .... its was a superb show and thank you teachers for being so sporting:)

When school dismissed at 12 noon ...... the teachers day lunch begins .....

wow! wow! ..... Arabian Night Theme ...... all I can say as I entered the room was WOW!!! the parents did so much to entertain us ( mind you bukan calang2 parents semua kaya raya) and the food were cooked by themselves .... each and everyone took part ..... thank you PSP .... We had a lovely time with the entertainments and lucky draws and dear aunty nurse won a $100.00 Takashimaya gift vouchers..... yahoo bolih gi shoppingggggg......hehehe

There were $100 gift vouchers and LCD TV from 19ins - 22 ins and 1 Samsung touch screen handphone.I was surprised when my name was called .... so happy.

I was seated next to the principal so cannot go snapping photos .......

aha arabian night alright .... superb!!

X-COUNTRY RUN.......

As arranged the school x-country run was held today at the West Coast Park and as expected aunty nurse need to be present too.I was hoping it will rain so it will be cancelled but the rain pours in the morning instead.

We left the school @ 1.30pm and there was I sitting in the bus together with all the tutors and school councellors.At this time the sun was high and hot .... hot mind you...uurrgggghhhhhhh.....

The event started at 3pm with the senior boys followed by senior girls then junior boys and junior girls and our vice principal Mr Charles Png was running with the senior boys and bravo ... clap...clap .... he finished the race but no price ok .... bagi chance lah anak2 murid.

A few minor injury which I have to attend and 1 senior boy ran without his shoes halfway and ended up habis terkopak kulit tapak kaki dia .... adoiii .........

It was a nice afternoon only I was not prepared having to walk in wet muddy grass....habis my shoes.

Managed to finish that set of baby's items yesterday so maklang I will send it out soon ya .... sorry lah lambat sikit.I put my shawl knitting on hold first and do other knitting first ....... and also still have 4 novels waiting to read.

Tomorrow is teachers day and its halfday also its last day of school term and we are having 1 week break.Monday admin staff is given dayoff for teachers day holiday .... yahoo!! no need to go to work on monday.

Kecoh......

Kecoh di sekolah hari ni selepas lunch ... anak murid hilang tak balik class ..... selalu nya kalau mereka hilang sick bay is the first place they will look for so at around 2plus 2 of them came to ask if so and so came to report sick? I told no why what happen?they told me he didn't come back to class after recess and depa ni 12 yrs old in year 1.They tried his mobile it was off,look at every male washroom - not there,library pun takde.

They were searching for him for almost half an hour and we finally announce it over the speaker still no result ..... lately some parents been getting calls telling them their son/daughter is in their hand and ask for ransom $$$ ... ni semua perbuatan orang tak siuman....tapi kita tak bolih buat pekak kan? kalau betul2 satu terjadi macam mana?

Finally at 3pm we had no choice but to call the parents .... hmmm..... si bapak received phone call from anak manja kata tak sihat nak balik so bapak apa lagi call the maid suruh gi sekolah amek anak balik ..... fyi any student that is not well have to report to me and I will call their parents/guardian to come and fetch them or ask for alternative transport....and before they leave the school the vice -principal has to sign my early departure form and this form will be send to the guard house to allow them to leave the school premises.....

Kira2 blunder lah today ... all because of the heavy downpour .... maid came in taxi pick boy and off they went within seconds.

Ni baru si kenit2 tingkatan 1 & 2 kalau yg besar mcm gajah ... suka main sembunyi2 bila tak suka attend class yg tertentu mereka pun hilang juga sembunyi dimana2 ... sekarang mereka dah tau aunty nurse dah tak semudah dulu senang2 bagi dia org rihat kat sick bay tapi mereka lupa yg sepandai tupai melompat akhir nya ketanah juga ... tu suka menipu lah..... hehehe

Esok ada cross country run for all the yr 2 - yr 6 and thats 700 of them students who have to run 3km .... hari ni aje ada yg dah report esok how to run aunty my leg hurt,my this hurt,my that hurt ...... told them come back tomorrow and see me and I will see ..... hahahha ...... ntah esok pun aunty nurse kena ikut sama ...adoiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii ..... minta2 hujan selebat-lebat nya so aunty tak yah run sama ..... hehehe ......

All the staff were given these set of school magnets (sekolah saya yg atas tengah2)...... thats under the methodist board of govern .... ni lah sekolah yg banyak selalu minta derma .... and derma yg mereka dapat lumayan.

Unfortunate......

I was so engrossed with knitting the shawl yesterday and I completed about almost 7 inches into it then I realised I must have missed a stitch in one of the rows ... aiyooooo my pattern got distorted and I can't seem to tell which row it was .... as I mentioned in the last entry this pattern really testing my memory .. of course a mistake was done and next best thing was to ripped it all out and start afresh again and this time I decide to do same pattern as for Aiman and Hannah since its in my memory already ..... I know the previous pattern is indeed very nice but I can't take the chance of another error .....

The new shawl with similar pattern except I will add few ribbons here and there like shown in the picture. Is it ok my friends this new creation??? .... helpppppppp .....

To call my own .....

To call my own yes the above pictures is my latest project a shawl to call my own and I've decided not to do the cape as shown in my previous entries.Since I can't get that kiddo yarn here so I bought this LangYarn @ $13.90 each for 50gms and by looking at it I have chosen the wrong pattern too really testing my brain as to remember which row I am knitting ...... and this pattern also need lots of yarn too looks like my 5 isn't enough need to buy 5 more ..... and at the end of it I will spend $139 .... but then its my own to use ... hehe ... I need it for end of the year trip insya'allah as its winter out there.

Tell me if its too much red in it ... kalau ye pun too late dah beli pun yarn nya .... its 55% wool and 45% acrylic....don't know when I can complete it as in between I still novels to read and headbands to knit.

Rajin ke saya?.......

I hate housework!!!! hahahha.... but no matter you still need to do them rite?

I hate ironing unlike before when Wati was here my laundry basket is always empty end of the day.... all washed and ironed but now I only iron when I need to use it ... pepagi kena iron uniform....uuurrrggghhhhhhhh...... helpppppppppppppppp

I don't mind cooking as I can experiment with them ......

Rajin ke saya?.... hmmm

I tried doing this kukus kuih gula hangus got the recipe from the internet .... first time mencuba and alhamdulillah its quite simple everything goes into the blender .... only blunder I did didn't know that the caramel get harden so fast .... and by time I wanted to add it in aiyo had to heat it up again .... ok first time mah but next time I'll just use brown sugar .... hahahahha

Then I did this fried carrotcake - my style lah ...add lots of minced beef ... so sedappppppppp.

Helppppppppppp came this afternoon at 2pm .... my ironing done by Wati ...yeah tomorrow morning tak payah gosok uniform 4 suits dah pun tergantung .... for everyone info saya memang tak reti gosok pants .. tak pandai nak fold the line .... hahaha ... kalau ada suami macam mana agak nya? ..... hahahhaha

Untuk dinner I did the shepperd's pie again and this time I did the tomyam flavour..yum..yum..

Verdict ..... hari ni saya terlalu rajin/terajin ..... hehehe

Ok someone going to ask how to finish 3 pies? I gave 1 to my sis Aini when she came with my awaited helper:) the other I had it with Adriana and Aini and 1 more kept in the fridge and that will be either my (bring to work and grill it there) or have it for dinner.

Ku iring doa kepada mu.....

Genap 19 tahun mak meninggalkan kami pada 23rd August 1989 jam 2.30 pagi namum wajah mu selalu di hati ku.Ku tak lupa juga mengiringi doa dan al-fathiha untuk mu dan juga bapak.

Tahlil akan di buat di masjid bersama jemaah2 lain - semoga arwah di lindungi olih Nya dan di-tempatkan drg orang2 yang beriman....amin.

Whilst cleaning bilik/almari bapak tempoh hari ku jumpa gambar di atas dlm satu envelope dgn gambar2 lain.Gambar di atas (gambar mak) di ambil kalau tak salah masa umur ku 1 tahun asal ada gambar saya bersama mereka.Betapa sayang nya bapak pada mak gambar tu di-simpan kalau ikut umur ku bermakna dah 58 tahun.Gambar tu di cantum dgn scotchtape sebab di tengah ada line tapi saya tak bolih nak kopek biarkan begitu sahja.

Al-fathiha untuk bapak dan mak semoga roh kamu berdua di cucuri rahmat olih NYA....amin.

Love to ......

I love to knit these 2 pattern and I found them whilst looking for patterns online ...

This cape is beautiful don't you think so?but I need to get the wool/thread first and that means I have to go down to spotlight ..... aaarrggghhhhhhhhhh all the way into town .... malas nya.

This stole is also beautiful too and love the colour too ... aiyo semua tengok nak buat ... mana ada time aunty nurse oi ... novels ngah menunggu tu ...

I have quite a bit of balance wool so this is what I did this afternoon and when its ready I'm gonna give it to one one of our ex student who at present is doing data entry for us.She will be leaving for UK next week to pursue her study there.

At last I finish reading this novel today .... I was glued reading and was lucky only 4 students today as the year4 are having prelims ...

Zainal Arief is one man you may want to have to be your other half ..... faithful with love and humble as a lawyer.He is a romantic lover and soft spoken BUT I prefer AF ..... Nor Ash dengar tak? AF still MY NUMBER 1..... hehehe....

I am still pretty sure the drama I saw maybe 2 years ago has a similar setting as this story but as Nora said they are yet to make it into a drama yet....who would you pick to be Zainal Arief??? maybe if Roysam Nor is 20 yrs younger he fits the cast .... but them Nal is suppose to be fair in complexion!!!

ps maklang saya tak nangis cuma sebak aje dlm 2 episodes .... hehehe

Hari ini .....

Hari ini agak slow motion sikit maklum di luar cuaca nya hujan nampak muram dr pagi jadi yg kat dlm pun muram lah juga .... hehe

Dari jam 9 pagi sampai jam 3ptg ni hanya 6 anak2 aje yg dtg jenguk tu pun yg dtg minta tukar dressing, sakit kepala - common complain kalau nak ponteng class dan yg satu tu di sengat kumbang kata nya tapi tak pasti pasal menepis dan depa terbang...lengan nya nampak merah juga.

Hari ni saya gunakan wool lebihan warna putih untuk jadikan ni .....

Headband for baby ..... cuba-cuba nak tengok macam mana hasil nya .... ada apa2 komen puan2 dan tuan2?

hehehe ... tak dapat kepala baby kepala bear ni pun jadi lah ... tapi nampak macam kepala nya sakit pulak di balut kan?

Hari ni masa lunch bila makan sesama guru2 saya di pelawa untuk ambil bahgian minggu depan untuk pertunjukkan hari guru on 29th August tapi saya menolak .... eh teachers suppose to do the show apa ... hehe malu nya menjadi model olympic di atas pentas di tonton olih 800 students!!tapi saya volunteer jadi tukang ambil gambar .... haha... next week hari guru very special...pagi selepas concert ada cross country antara guru2 dan students dan lepas tu we gonna have a big lunch buffet sponsored by the parents group .. bukan calang2 punya parents ni yg kaya raya .... kalau nak tau tunggu episode/entry hujung minggu depan ye:)

Dan hari ini juga saya mula baca 'Sehangat Asmara'...jeng..jeng... tapi rasa2 nyacerita ni pernah dibuat drama dulu di TV1 tapi ni baru je mula membaca mungkin tak sama kot.

Job's done .......

Finally my muffler set completed *whew*... Hannah you'll get it soon ok ... poor niece before she left for study in Australia I only managed to knit for her a cap and now because its winter its too cold that when she went jogging she got the chill ... so I decide to knit whole set for her consist of a muffler,cap and headband.....

Here it is the muffler set ..... her favourite colour - purple:)
One set done next set to go ......

Remember the bracelet I received from wanmommy last week and its a bit too short? Well I had it fix by an extention link and now I can proudly put it on ... next project is to fix the ring but when??? soon ... soon ...

Visitor part 2......

Cerita semalam belum habis lagi ... banyak yg bertanya 'banyak nya makanan untuk dua orang?' memang nampak banyak tapi at the end of the day habis semua nya. Doc Adah yg sepatut nya bersama kami untuk makan brunch last minute ada hal cuma dapat dtg lewat .... bukan lewat sikit tapi lewat banyak rupa nya ... hehe

Selepas Nazrah pulang selepas kami bersama hampir 2.5 jam my sister Ram sms kata mereka on the way to my house with 'aisya??' so saya jawab ok ... baru teringat saya ada pesan dia kalau ke JB tolong belikan novels Aisya Sofea di Larkin. Dia sampai bersama my other sis Aini with their husbands and Adriana around 3pm ... berborak dan yg suami2 semua keletihan zzzzzz .... mereka ke Larkin mengupah baju raya lagi dan mungkin gi makan juga. Aini belikan juga murtabak Johor and goreng cempedak and Ram ice cendul .. kami minum bersama.Sebelum pulang saya pack kan untuk mereka mee goreng,nasi lemak dan apa yg ada.

Doc Adah telepon akan singgah kejap lagi bersama anak nya AR bila dia sampai my sisters pun baru je balik.Kami duduk bercerita dan minum2 almost 1.5 hrs dan bekalkan juga mee goreng dan nasi lemak memang mee goreng tu suami selalu usik saya kalau berjumpa - elle bila nak buat mee goreng? jadi rezeki lah smlm dia dapat mee goreng dari saya.Masa Adah ada di rumah adik saya Rosman pulak datang ..... kira2 semalam saya tak lah keseorangan ... happy sokmo:) selepas Rosman puang jam 9 mlm baru lah rasa sunyi lagi.

Buah berangan di bawa olih Adah , murtabak Johor dari my sis Aini and chocs chip cookies dari Nazrah ... alhamdulillah rezeki.

Novel yg kaklady pesan suruh saya beli dan baca .... orite kaklady ni dia nanti saya baca.

Dan yang ini pulak pesanan dari Nora .... yahoo sekarang dah ada 4 novels dari Aisya Sofea dalam collections.

Ok sampai di sini dulu untuk entry kali ni.

Visitor .....

I had a special visitor today non other than our org Dubai skg Nazrah - she is home for the summer break and will be going back 1st week of ramadhan.Thank you Nazrah for coming and the wonderful chat we had from A-Z ..... at least my sunday is not alone today even for 2 hours whilst she was here...between the 2 of us we have something in common we are missing our loss ones and only time will heal.Doc Adah who is suppose to join couldn't make it last minute ....

Today dapur berasap and we had quite a bit of food from nasi lemak,mee goreng and dim-sum....only lunch for 2:)

Its always nice to have someone to chat with otherwise its too quiet being alone.

Award and Novels ......

First of all thank you mimi for the bearhug award ..... and my hug to you too and everyone else who come to my daily happenenings.

After reading Aisya Sofea 'Kau untukku' I've fallen in love with her style of writing and so yesterday I tried looking for her novels near my place but only found one 'Gelora Jiwa' and also bought for first time a novel written by Meen Zulaikha.Looks like I have more reading to do these days but nevertheless my knitting will also be functioning in between reading...insya'allah.

Breakfast/brunch today aha siewmai and pau .... anyone care to join me? .... Nazrah sorry babe I makan sorang nampak nya ..... takpe esok masih ada:)...hahaha

These halal siewmai are sold everywhere at different prices - at the school they are being sold@ 50 cents a piece,NUH cafetaria @ 60cents a piece and 2 wks ago when Simah was here and we went to Raffles Hospital Banquet and I bought 3 pcs for $2.10 makoi melambong betul harga di naikkan.So clever me managed to order from my canteen vendor at the school and they ordered for me at only $4/- per a pack of 10 pcs!! Siewmai is chicken filled wrapped with wanton skin .... just need to steam them before eating with black sweet sauce and chili sauce.

Busy day .....

Hari ni sibuk bukan sikit tapi banyak.... beds in sick bay laku semua sehari ni .....sampai tak sempat nak mengait or baca buku....

Ni gambar anak jepun ... budak2 ni exchange student dari Osaka for 1 week ... there are 14 of them 8 girls and 6 boys but only these 2 girls only been resting at the sickbay,they are both 14 yrs old.The one with towel on her shoulder ws having menstrual pain and after I gave her a hot compress after half an hour ok sikit and the one with hair covering the eyes is Mayu ... headache.The last 2 days they both been resting for 2 hours .... maybe missing their mothers and first time out of Japan.They will be at the school for another 2 days then home sweet home.

This afternoon from 2pm students keep coming and everyone seem to be needing the beds until all 4 beds all occupied ... no room for some ... kena Q.... hehe all kinds of complains from stung by wasp until elbowed by the senior during ball game.......macam2 aje budak2 ni.

Ingat tak the 13 yr olds yg kata 'nurse your fingers so cool"...huh ni lah dia hari ni dia kena elbowed by budak besar playing ball and he hurt his neck and felt giddy etc...agak nya cuma nak tengok aunty nurse tu tak?.....hahahaha .... atau pun nak ponteng French lesson!!

Just as well I am occupied otherwise knit..knit or read ...read and cry .... hahaha

Gifts from Cukai.......

I received a parcel from wanmommy yesterday afternoon only till I got home I get to see the contents ..... wanmommy apa nak malu infact I must appreciate the gifts that come from friends even if its a small token... I am very proud that its the thought that count.As mentioned in my last entry I will show you the gifts in my next entry so here they are ........ I think its proper that we say our thanks in public ....

A parcel full of things .... kain batik dr Kemaman along with a caftan, a set of blue saphire bracelet and ring ( ni part sedih TAK MUAT) a necklace from Eygpt and of course cendramata doorgift masa wanmommy buat kenduri last month....thank you wanmommy .. ku hargai kiriman dari Kemaman.

Now you know why I am sad bracelet and ring tak muat ... maklum lah saya ni size XL .... uaah...uaah......

For Nora and Nor ash (sanggup mengusik sampai masuk blog 2-3 kali)I dah habis baca Kau Untukku ..... best!! kalau ada lelaki macam AF mmg I tak lepaskan dari gengaman tapi apakan daya elekkkkk. Tahniah bagi Aisya Sofea sesungguh nya saya tertarik dgn cerita ini .. tak rugi memilih nya dan saya janji saya akan tambah novel2 dari mu dan membaca nya di masa yg akan dtg.... (eh macam lah Aisya Sofea baca blog I ni eh?).

I cried today.......

Yes I cried today just around 12.30pm .... I couldn't control myself ... tears just rolled down my cheeks ... its no use I have to stop before a student or staff walk into my room and all because...........

I was reading this book .... it was so touching mah .... hehehe .... a good book am yet to finish it....and in between reading I have to complete the muffler too otherwise Hannah will kill me .... oh please don't ah Hannah.

At last at 4pm its done ..... how cantik tak?

I also received this parcel above from Silver sarina this afternoon am yet to open and see ... lets wait till I get home ok ... thank you so much rina I am sure whatever it is I will surely love it as it comes from someone dear..... hmm....if you want to know what I got from her wait till my next entry.

Sunday activities .........

Early sunday morning at 7.30am I got a sms from my sis Ram 'going to pusara then to JB pick you up at 8.30am'and of course my answer is ok as this will be my first visit to pusara arwah bapak. When we arrived Aini and Kam and her 2 kids were already there and together we offered our al-fathiha led by bro in law Saat.I find the whole place serene ... byk juga yg datang pagi tu melawat arwah masing2.......semoga arwah bapak di cucuri rahmat dari Nya.....amin.

I didn't know they have made planned to go for lunch @ ASKA at the Hyatt JB for a Japanese meal .... sorry to say but not my kind of meal ... has never like japanese food except for Inari.

Looking at those shashimi and stuff want to make me puke....I ate the rice with the miserable serving of cod and god knows another fried stuff and the egg custard that has chicken meat and crab stick at the bottom..... I left the pickles and so called jellyfish dish aside and gave my salmon or issit shashimi to Aini .... a very expensive set of Bento for RM$45 per person I should say.

After that we went to Larkin as Ram and Aini sending their raya suits for tailoring and yippee Aini gave me a piece of material and I had it tailored for a kebaya panjang.....and makoi the tailoring is RM$180/- hello I can buy a ready made suit for that price.

After that the 4 of us (Kam took the children back first) went to the food court and had satay and me chicken rice asal tak kenyang makan bento tadi whilst Aini and Ram had mee rebus.

While I was there I also bought these books above to read ntah bila ye ...... Norhayati Berahim has always been my favourite collection and it will be my first time reading from Aisya Sofea .... when? when?to start since I have lots of knitting to do and billing to catch up with .... aarrgggghhhh!
