Duit raya .....



Sudah masuk minggu kedua kita beraya mesti anak2 lah yang paling gembira sekarang mengira duit raya kan? Mesti banyak yg dah buat cadangan nak buat apa ngan duit raya ... hmm...ada nak beli PSP games mungkin nak tukar handphone baru?



Tahun ni saya murah rezeki sebab saya pun dapat duit raya .... hehehe ... kalau
Mimi nak 5 duit merah & 10 duit hijau tapi saya tak minta apa2 pun dan alhamdulillah saya dapat yg di bawah tu....

huh tu lah duit raya yang saya dapat dari adik2 yang masih ingatkan saya ... Thank you Baharuddin,Fandi,Linah and Aini ... nampak tahun ni saya dapat lebih dari tahun2 dulu.Terima kasih juga pada adik2 yang lain yang memberi kuih raya dan kek raya. so much.


Saya bersyukur kepada Nya dan berdoa supaya kami adik beradik akan sentiasa tolong menolong antara satu sama yang lain maklum lah kami sudah kehilangan mak dan bapak ... kami anak yatim piatu.

Kalau nak ikutkan hati saya dah tak jalan raya lagi tapi baju raya baru tahun ni ada lagi 2 pasang belum sempat di pakai nampak2 kena forward untuk tahun depan.

The end ........

To many of you today is first day back to work after the long raya break but as for me I was already back to work on the 2nd day.

Its the end of raya visiting for me and yesterday went to 4 places alhamdulillah ... our first stop was at my sis Ram's place for her open house ... all the Jellanies meet up and I finally managed to get a picture taken of the brothers and sisters except for Rosman who left early to do more visitings.

The Jellanies siblings .... of course minus the little one .... hehee ....

My niece Risna came @ 12 plus and her 2 boys are my grandnephews Ahmad Fahim and Ahmad Syakir.... my cucu eh ...

We left for Ram's place at 1.45pm and more photo sessionsssssssssss there were about 6 cameras clicking away.

The nieces who are always ready to be snapped ........... SIAPA BILANG GADIS MELAYU TAK MENAWAN?...... girls galore.

Jalan2 Raya ......








On the second day of syawal I was back to work as its not a school break and I'd only start to visit my siblings on the 3rd day of raya after work in the evening and that also with help from my youngest sister Aini who came to fetch me from home.Its norm I will only visit my siblings for raya as I have to be home to receive guests when arwah bapak was alive.....

On 3rd day of raya visited my late brother's family, my another brother Fandi and last my sister Lina ... the above photo taken at her place and the baju .. material was given to me by my sis Aini and tailored in JB as usual.

I have covered 80% of my siblings within 3 days and yesterday was a long day affair .... visiting 4 places and I stayed overnite at Aini's too and only came back this morning as my niece and family coming to visit.While visiting as you know makannnnnnnnnnnnnn all those dieting gone bust ..........

On 4th day of raya .....

At Aini's place yesterday ................. Lina is missing we have yet to take all 4sisters together by the time she came to Aini's place it was past 11pm and I've changed into my sleeping outfit.

The baju I wore yesterday was tailored 4 yrs ago and only yesterday I decide to put it on and I've lost weight its so baggy......hehehe



Uncle pakcik any comment on these baju?

Yes my sisters and bro in laws and myself went to visit them as it was my arwah bapak before he left us that he always wanted to visit my cousin's place but unfortunately it was never fulfilled so yesterday we went to make it happens ... of his wishes.Mus if you are reading this just to let you know we did it finally to visit your parents place this raya.

Selamat hari raya .....

The day that every muslims been waiting for finally is here hari raya idil fitri.

I start the day @ 5am to do my cooking of sambal goreng,sambal prawns and sayur lodeh when I finally finish the cooking it was 8.30am then I still have the bergedil to fry.I did the rendang ayam and daging ketumbar the night before.

I had my shower and soon after my nephew Rudi came with the ice for me .. thanks Rudi and he is the only one I didn't get to take photo with.I plan in such that I get to take photos with my nephews and nieces this year.

The siblings start to flow in @ 11am and ends @ 4.30pm ... I am happy they came to pay their respects to me being the eldest sister .. and ofcourse teary me never stop wiping my eyes esp when they salam and hugged me .... thank you dear sisters and brothers,sisters in laws and brothers in law for having the trust in me to be the elder of the family now.To those who gave me the green packets thank you very much.

Raya Aidil Adha

A year had gone by and we are celebrating aidil adha again tomorrow.Even though its not as merry as idil fitri for us the women folks cooking is a must esp when you have an elder in the house.

For me its simple cooking no hard work infact as I still need to prepare same amount of food as raya fitri and my menu for tomorrow ?? sambal goreng,beef ketumbar,chicken rendang and chili prawns to go with plain white rice and for the kiddies will fry some bee hoon sea-food....tiring rite?



Kuih bangkit gula melaka made by my sis in law Sabar who is very good with these kinds of stuff.....see Cath how beautiful they are and of course yummyyyyyyyyyy

She also bakes this nutella marble cake ... mmm... looks yummy too.




Chocolates galore awaiting my guests tomorrow too who are my own siblings and families but this year a bit on the quiet side as my sis Aini has gone to Gold Coast with the family plus 2 of Ram's kiddos and BIL Saat has gone to Czekoslavia for work related.


For the kiddos I have assorted gummy candies but it will be the big kids who will be eating them.

Saturday 3rd Nov I invited my colleagues and some friends over for lunch and this year a bit late in inviting as some were on leave during that the raya period.Ok this is finally the ending after 2 weeks break from eatingggggggggg all the raya food.Initially I wanted to cook ordinary dishes like asam pedas ikan pari and cili lemak ayam but then I am sure the non malay will want the raya dishes so in the end its the usual raya food of sambal goreng,sayur lodeh,rendang,serunding,sambal tumis,bergedil goreng etc....

I did the rendang on friday evening and finished cooking it around 11 and when I logon maklang and Qoth were online so chatted with them for few minutes before going to zzzzzzzzzzz as I need to start battling again in the kitchen early the next morning.Woke up just before subuh and Simah starts smsinggggg one excited lady eagerly awaiting the bag of goodies .... hehehe....

Start on the cooking of sambal goreng,sambal tumis and sayur lodeh.

I went to the market at 7.30am as I need to get few things got home at 8am and start to do the cooking again till 11.30am and I decide to cook some more of the rendang again and thank to god all complete and done.My sis Lina and bro in law Yazid came and had the lontong for brunch and took some rendang back for the children.

My guests stroll in around 12.30 and first to arrive is Norabella and our novelist Norisah A Bakar unfortunately kebayachic couldn't make it as she was busy with her soon moving to the states.To Nor all the best to you and family and if I do have the chance to fly over there maybe we can meet up eh?

My sis Aini and family came soon after and followed by the colleagues and my nephews Rudi and Haziq who came with my ice and also to collect that special bag to Turkey.

They enjoyed the food I think and we had the sago with sweet potato as dessert.They left around 3 plus and after cleaning up I went to rest and dozes off for an hour.I felt tired actually but I had to do my my 'homework' though and start doing them at 6plus till my friend called to say she and her family coming.Siti and family arrived around 7 plus and we ate whats left for dinner.Siti and family has never break the tradition of visiting me and my father even though we are just friends infact she is my ex colleague too.They left at 8.30pm to watch the football infact Hamid was wearing the MU tees and so were the boys .... real football fans.

I went to sleep at 10 plus and this morning didn't get up till past 7 .... penat oh penat ..... hehehe

The end for me ... raya dah habis .... eventhough its barely the 2nd week as for me thats it no more jalan raya I've covered all siblings except 1 brother's place who has been giving a ride everytime we go visiting even though he has changed to a smaller car there's room for me:)They squeezed at the back and me got the front passenger seat .... hehehe .... I think everyone been to his place so nampak sah takde open house lah .... no open house me no go lah kan?




I wore this yesterday ... baju baru (thai silk)tailored oops sewed by my sister Lina 2 yrs ago but first time wearing it yesterday....finally last year I got the right colour for the kain to send tailoring to Lina but only this year get to wear it.The kain is of indian silk unfortunately when I took the picture myself I couldn't focus all and if you notice I almost couldn't get my own head in .... I use the timer of the camera.Luckily the head was not missing kalau tak nampak badan aje .... hahaha .....

The eating session for syawal ain't over yet ..... yesterday I had 2 invitations for raya open house we had lunch at doc Adah's place.She invited staff from 3 locations of DTH and per norm not all can make it being a saturday many has own programs.

There were 4 groups of food when we were there ... longtong that goes wirh lodeh,rendang and serunding.Then there's nasi ayam penyet .... sedap:)dapat tahpau lagi .... hehe.
3rd group was nasi dagang and finally mee hailam.The food was cooked by her pembantu rumah Arom and she is a good cook too.

Staff from IB and JP came after our halfday and we had a good makan session.I left at 3pm as my sis Ram was coming to fetch me and bapak to her place and before I left Arom packed some nasi ayam penyet for me to bring home...thank you.

In the evening another makan -makan at Ram's and we had nasi minyak.All the Jellanies were present again.There were 4 generations attendance from bapak,us the siblings followed by the grandchildren and finally the greatgrand children.Unfortunately we didn't take a group photo I didn't think of it .... the nieces and myself as usual as always busy taking photos of ourselves .... hahaha

We didn't leave till after midnight and I was so sleepyyyyyyyyyyy.

I think this is the end of raya for me .... my visits are only to siblings places....so till next raya in 2008 the makan session has come to its end ..... thank goodness .... hahaha
