The weekend......

The weekend is over so quickly and I am still camping at Windermere at my youngest sis place.On saturday as usual once a month I had to send my completed invoices to my ex company and since I was at Orchard Rd .....TST lah....hehehe

I went home to mop and do some of my laundry before heading to town and came home at around 2.30pm did some work and tried to watch tv .... at 6pm Aini came to fetch me to dinner.We went to Hyatt's Straits Kitchen for a buffet dinner with my aunt Ju who arrived from Darwin last week and also with my cousin Lin.My sis Ram and family were there too.There 12 of us for dinner and we had so much to eat .. plenty more to eat but the tummy couldn't take anymore .....

We headed for home whilst Ram and Saat and family along with Hafiz and little Adriana went to watch the late show of BATMAN.....they got home t 1.30am and by then I was already in lalaland.

Sunday 20th July genap 40 hari bapak meninggalkan kami ke alam barzakh dan semoga roh nya di cucuri rahmat dan ditempatkan dgn orang2 yg beriman.... amin.

We did the 40 days tahlil at at my brother's Baharudin place yesterday after Asar,he ordered nasi ambeng for the kenduri ... masa'allah so much kuih2 from the siblings and clever me brought fruits in the basket.My aunt also send some kuih2 in the morning and Cik Anon make kuih jongkung asli .... too many I just couldn't try it.

The nasi ambeng itself come swith 12 side dishes .... oh my god what a kenduri alright!!!

Our next kenduri tahlil will be the 100 days that will fall during ramadhan.

Meeting Will.....

Adriana is fortunate to get to meet Will in person before me .... jealous....jealous.... hehehe

Yes my sis Aini,Kam and little Adriana was in the states last month visiting my sister Maria at San Antonio,they were there for 2 weeks.Here are some photos I download from her camera....Will is as cute as ever.

I've been to the states 3 times over the years and one thing I can't is the journey...long hours of flight and transit.... but if a chance again I may go and visit them again insya'allah.

Atok was transfered to St Luke's Hospital this morning and soon he will start his rehab theraphy and accoring to my sis Aini the doctor think he may have to be there at least for 1 month base on the report given by NUH.Anyway they see how will be in 2 weeks ... we want him to be home so we can celebrate his 80th birthday in April.

Its school holiday here in sg too and so its pretty quiet at the sick bay only a handful of students were around playing basket ball and some other CCA...its very quiet and I hardly have things to do besides reading and going online....shhhhhhhhhh.

Anyway we were all told to go home halfday today yippee!!! hope tomorrow also....hahaha

*wishful thinking*.... but who knows it may comes true:)

Black pepper crabs anyone? this time round the crabs were huge and full of meat ...... thats my aunt Ju who came own from Darwin.

The belles at the buffet lunch on sunday at the Courousel ....

Marathon.....

Yes it has been 2 days of marathon of eating for me starting yesterday saturday 8th March.After years of working this is first time I get an official saturday as a day off and also sunday.....its beautiful not having to work on saturday.

I left home at 10am to go into town to submit all the invoices of the e-billings I did for the whole month.I went to my ex- main branch at Orchard Rd and it was nice to see my ex colleagues there,after that I went to Tangs to get my estee lauder stuff.Unfortunately couldn't hang around long as I need to get to the hospital to visit my father at lunch time.

My aunt Ju and cousin Lin also came to visit and they had prior appt with another cousin for lunch at Lucky Plaza.Aini and family came soon after and we all left together for Orcahrd Rd and whilst Aunt Ju and Lin went to have lunch with cousin Rosini..... Aini,Kam,Hannah and myself went to another place for lunch and we had the indonesian ayam penyet at Resto Surabaya again.

Once aunt Ju is done with her lunch we arranged to meet at the carpark and head for Aini's place at Windermere and as arranged we spent the night there.The makan session didn't end yet.For dinner we went to have seafood at Sinaran @ Teck Whye and we had butter prawns,black pepper crabs,hot plate tofu,kailan with beef,tom yam soup & sweet sour fish.By time we had dinner we were so bloated can hardly walk .... hehe .... and of course the eyes too can hardly open....too much food for the day.Luckily after the shower tante did a massage for our tired feet...thank you tante.

Today sunday another program awaits us when we came down after our shower tante already fried some noodle for breakfast....then for lunch we went to Royal Plaza on the Scotts for buffet lunch at the Courousels .... oh my ...oh my.... makan again .... I had so much of helpings ... my starter was chicken rice followed by roast lamb and yorkshire pudding hmmm so yummy.Then I had some inari and shushi and back to yorkshire pudding again.....hahaha just couldn't resist it.When aunt Ju did the rojak buah I shared with her too.....glutton me had 2 cakes and some logans as well.

We send aunt Ju back to Pasir Ris to another aunt's place and aunt Ju will going home to Australia tomorrow afternoon after 3 weeks stay and she visited atok 3 times since she has been here afterall atok is her older brother.

After visiting atok at NUH this evening we went for dinner at makan syiok again an this time I only had chicken porridge ... honestly I must have put on 2kg over this weekend with the makan marathon.

FYI atok will be transferred to St Luke's tomorrow morning for rehab prog and hopefully he can come home after that insya'allah.

Hospital cum holiday....





Atok's haemoglobin reading dropped again to quite low so yesterday he had a blood transfussion again as seen in the picture.He is rational and looking comfortable.
As usual I visited during lunch hour and I was a bit late so the cooked asam pedas red snapper I did for him had to wait till later.He had porridge for lunch appetite not fully recovered yet.

He has been moved to the ward we requested for on admission finally they have bed ... I guess some patients been discharged for CNY.


We left him at 2.30pm and head for lunch and since our trip to KL was cancelled we make believe that we are in KL so we JJCM...... hahaha


We went to Vivo City ..... konon2 kita di KLCC lah ..... had our lunch at Garuda Indon Restaurant.
Food ok but a bit saltish in some or was it my taste bud???



We then look2 and see and then proceed to have coffee and ice cream at Haagen Das ........

Adriana's favourite the fondue set ..... I had iced coffee late to wake me up......

What a holiday rite? a make believe ........ at 5.30pm we went to visit atok again and sneek in a tub of ice cream for him .....shhhhhhhhhhhhh

At 7.30pm we left him with Lina and Rosman who came later than us .... good bye atok we see you again tomorrow.

Gong Xi Fa Cai








A happy and prosperous chinese new year to all my chinese friends may the year of the rat brings good health,good life and most of all wealth:)

I was happy yesterday when I visited atok at lunch time he was his normal self .... I cooked ikan bawal sambal and fed him as he requested and he finished half the fish and half the rice....and as usual now I will make a mugful of teh susu for him from home and he will finished it.











He told me that he will be send to St Lukes hospital after his discharge for rehab so I explain to him the reason and he understands....*whew*.... hopefully he won't say again that because we don't want to look after him that we are sending him there.~~~I think the doctors and social worker may have spoken to him about this.











I left him at 2pm and he asked for toasted bread and tea susu again when I come in the evening.Unfortunately he vomitted twice before I arrived in the evening and was asleep so he didn't get his toasted bread and tea afterall.











On our back from the hospital the Jellanies troop went for a reunion dinner/supper at the railway station eating and yakking till almost 11 plus and by the time I got home it was almost midnight just nice to usher in the rat year.

Comot nya dia ..... hahaha ....... many faces of Will.

Atok's progress

After yesterday roller coaster in the ward today atok seem more rational and he is off the drip too and they are keeping an eye on his fluid input.If he doesn't drink enough he will get dehydrated again.


All siblings were present today at the hospital as we have to decide on the management once he is discharged etc ...... at present they have decided to have atok in the hospital till sunday/monday whilst the process of our application to have him move to a community rehab hospital.This is once again a govt subsidary board so we need to apply and the social worker interviewed me as atok is staying with me...and ofcourse at this stage I am unemployed so chances should be good....they will of course survey families income etc before they will approve a place for atok otherwise we have to pay as private patient.



Well one sensitive issue is someone has to explain to him why we are sending him to St Lukes as he may think that we don't want to look after him.....and as aftercare when he is discharged from St Luke .... the siblings have come to a decision that we have to get a maid to help look after him when I have to go to work next month .... fyi my new employer has granted me to start as from March instead of next week.I am glad they understand my situation.....


My sincere thank you to all of you for the kind wishes ,prayers for atok speedy recovery and also for the moral support ,phone calls and smses.....RIBUAN TERIMA KASIH..... HANYA TUHAN YG AKAN MEMBALAS NYA.

I think with love and tender care and with everyone's prayers atok will get better soon.

Hari Mencabar....

Today has been a hard day for all of us...as usual I went to the hospital at lunch time to see atok with home cooked food and today he's in foul mood and confused.He had the scan done this morning and we explained to him last night that he is not allowed food and drinks after 10pm as a prep for the hepato scan.He clearly understand but when we saw at lunch time he was angry that the staff didn't give him b'fast and when he wants a drink he was told he can't ..... he probably can't remember.




Then he told me they took him on the train going into tunnels and ended in a place and he can't find his way back .... he claims he called everyone of us but no one answered the call???Iwent along with him lah then he was repeating the same story when Aini and Kam arrived and also when Adah came .... he thinks he is staying in a hotel and doesn't like it want to change to another hotel???Before we left he was ok and went to sleep.




After I got home at around 3pm my sis Lina called to say the hospital called and say atok can be discharged????...in my opinion he is not fit to come home yet cause his mind is all confused.So I called the hospital and spoke to the doctor abt it....told him atok is not himself when I saw him at lunch time how can be fit for discharged.....please bear in mind its not that I don't want him home.According to the doc for his acute complain #arm he is fit for discharged and the complications that came along when he was there to be treated at outpatient dept.
Anyway I told the doc we will be there in the evening at 6pm and would like to discuss with him.




At 6pm when we arrived again father was so angry .... the staff told me he wanted to leave the bed and leave because he has an appt at 5pm.....ofcourse the staff was doing his duty to tell him he can't leave the ward....then he start abt $$ says he can afford to pay for his hospital stay. etc etc.. saying they look down at him thinking he has no $$$.......when Aini ask him where he wanted to go?He says he is meeting me because I am suppose to change to another hotel???atok seem confused or issit I am confused?



Later when Ram and Saat arrived he start with his journey by train again and we told him what happened in the morning that he went for the scan .... the doctor came when are all there and we ask about discharging atok and we find that atok is very confused .... technically in his point of course his #arm is ok but too us his mind is not .... so the moral of the story being in subsidised ward when you are for acute treatment you get the minimum stay .... it was a long talk questions and answers....we did plead for extention stay and unfortunately no go....so we have to decide if he comes home tomorrow how am I going to cope and when I start work how?? even if you want a get a maid it takes time .... solution....solution......we can put him in a community hospital like St Luke the one he was in after his stroke 4 yrs ago but that too will take time as you need to apply and they see case to case.....and the social worker will interview us first before you get aproval.....to put him in a nursing home is the next option but tak sampai hati pulak kan?



We left the ward at 9pm and atok refused to salam us ...merajuk... dia nak balik nak cabut semua benda2 kat tangan dia .... say we are stubborn ask to pull the drip pun tak nak ..... told us to balik...balik...balik.....


We are yet to decide and for tonite I just want to sleep first as I am so tireddddddddddddd.



In view of atok's condition our trip to KL is cancelled.
