Alhamdulillah at last I get to do the pie tee afterall ..... its been ages since I last had these or make these.
I remember learning to do the shells from my aunty who is now living in Australia about oh my gosh must be about 20 yrs ago!! oh how time flies rite?It wasn't easy doing the shells as you have to do it over hot boiling oil and not all the shells will turn out 100% perfect!

Thank goodness for instant purchasing .... we now can buy the shells at a affordable price.
I felt energetic this afternoon after an hour of nap:) I bought the turnips and carrots on my way home from work today and bought 2 more of the save the earth bags and this time its pink colour.


Kak Lady ni dia kuih pie tee nya ...... mixed of traditional fillings and eggs mayo......sedap tau....hahaha ...... sorry lupa nak letak cili sauce sedikit di atas nya.


I did 2 types of fillings for the pie-tee .... one traditional made of turnips and carrots and another just eggs with mayo for the children.

Recipe available at dapur kakelle cuba2 lah ok?

It turns out ok and not that bad after a lapse of years of not doing it.....but I don't think its enough for dinner rite?

I will keep the fillings for tomorrow when the siblings come and we can have another go of it.

Sunday 15th @ 12.45pm

I am full of energy today somehow .... haha so been spending my morning in the kitchen cooking.

Went to the market to stock the freezer and also to buy for my youngest sister Aini ... normal lah she will c/o me to buy as where she is staying now no market for fresh food.

I decide to cook spaghetti and also boil some pasta as the children prefer pasta,for the sauce I use minced chicken *nanti oldman complain beef dia tak bolih makan!*...hehe .....

The left over of BBQ chicken black pepper I did the ayam kicap again .... no idea!!....haha ok lah and today I garnish it with peas.

I also did samosa fillings of minced beef with oregano ..... yes today betul Ter Rajin sekali ... haha

Pie-Tee Kak Elle nampak lagi sedap dari yang kat kedai... First time Cath makan Pie-Tee was in the Chicken Rice Shop in Subang Jaya.. Tambah chili sauce sikit, yum yum.

nanti I kena fikir dulu pasal dah lama tak buat...maybe tanya kat d pasal dia kata dulu selalu buat. Yg I ingat guna tepung beras campur tepung biasa and garam sikit.Tapi nak buat acuan ada tak?

selalu nya maklang shells dia ada jual kat kedai peranakan.

ni recipe untuk kulit dia
Plain flour 300 g
Rice flour 50 g
Eggs (medium) 2
Water 500 ml
Salt ΒΌ tsp

1. Beat egg & salt
2. Add flour & water alternately.
3. Sieve batter.
4. Heat oil gently while preparing batter.
5. Fill batter up to 2/3 of the cup.
6. Dip to the bottom of the pot when oil heat up to medium temp.
7. Rub gently against the base of the pot.
8. When almost set, shake off the shells.

I have to try pie tee with egg mayo filling - definitely new! nampak sangat I'm not up-to-date, was about to contribute to the pie-tee recipe, but you got there first. Hehe.. Easy to make but my acuan is back home!!! For those in Malaysia, boleh carik acuan tu easily - a copper block moulded in the shape, with long piece of handle. sapa jumpa, postkan untuk I!

my friend borrow my acuan terus tak pulangkan...I bought the acuan from Tangs abt 20 yrs ago ntah ada lagi tak di jual di situ.

Egg with mayonaise simple aje my rekaan for the children as we all know as long theres vege they won't eat them.
