Hmmm.....dinner for 2 sound like a very romantic dinner by candle light kan?but no its dinner for me and my dad.The last 11 yrs we've eating dinner only the 2 of us monday to friday and most time I will buy back either from JP where I work or from the makan places near where I stay.If I am back early I will dish out some dishes that also depend on mood:) otherwise it will be leftovers from the weekend and I don't mind eating them again unlike some people!! Its not shameful and nothing wrong..... think of the poor children in India who have no food to eat and some other poor places...needless to say the poor family who struggles to feed the family.
At times I am loss to think of what to eat and many a times father always tell me just to buy for myself and not too worry about him as he can always eat bread.Can you??no I don't have the heart to be eating alone and take his word for it.So I always buy his share too and if he is too full he can always eat it later and most time he keeps them in the fridge and warm it the next day to eat it.What happen if one day he forgets and tell others that I didn't take care of him always eating alone???and I hope this day won't come and I wouldn't want to hear of it.Whether he likes it or not dinner is for 2......hehehe.
Tonite as I was walking home was thinking of KFC and tadaaaaaaaaaaaa walk into it and bought our dinner and here it is ..... call me mad if you want to.....and do you call this dinner for 2????oh my gosh..........dinner for 4!!
Its the 'Golden Treat' special CNY promotion .... 8 pcs chicken and comes with medium coleslaw and whipped cream potatoes and on top the a box of nuggets,chicken popcorn and hot wings...all for S$22/90 ........ okay okay between the 2 of us only 3 pcs of chicken were taken and I finish up the coleslaw and potatoes...ahah if my nieces were to read this they will aiyo why didn't I call them?sorry huh it was a last minute decision .... next time ok?maybe with pizza eh?The balance will be my lunch for tomorrow a chicken sandwich lah most likely... and probably for dinner too:)
I wonder how many of you have old folks staying with you and how do you solve problems like this?Perhaps you all have more than 2 people in the house so its not a problem afterall.
Do you think I should just buy dinner for myself only?I would like your opinion but bear in mind that eventhough my dad had stroke 3 yrs ago alhamdulillah he recovers and glad to say he is a very independant person.He will go down and have lunch or even take the train ride and go shopping as walking is one way of doing his physio.He sometimes will buy dinner for me too and cakes and fruits and of course his ice cream....yum..yum.
Sape kata being single is easyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy actualy pros and cons:) the only good part is just pack my bag and goooooooooo .... don't have to wait for school holiday or spouse vacation.Betul tak?but then being single can also be lonely unless you have things to keep you occupied.
whew*** banyak nya cerita pulak malam ni...entah lah kekadang nak buat entry ni malas and tup..tup..tup..one after another pulak cerita and soalan.
Lastly I think I am the oldest blogger around unless if you know of anyone who is older than me?.... hehe....let me know eh I like to know that person:)
oh oh I'd better stop before I write nonsense.

betol tu kak elle, sini lagi ramai org susah. tido tepi jalan pun masih ramai. keep telling my kids & ayah dia, finish up yr food or else kita sambung makan esok!!! sbb dah masak ngam2 soi...
KAk Elle and Mulan; me also masak ngam-ngam soi. Otherwise, it will go inside my tummy, and i will go kembang like a balloon!

its not easy menjaga org tua,TERsalah cakap akan menjinggung hati dia so setiap convo kena jaga.Sometimes cooking for 2 is not easy either rempah ratus buat macam masak untuk 6ppl sebab tu always ada leftovers.Weekend will be different as I will be cooking for abt 15ppl and balance my sis will tahpau home for their tomorrow lunch/dinner:)
mamasarah he was given the option who he wants to stay with and he chooses me:)maybe he also wants to take care of me(masih dlm tanggungan bapak kan?)hehe

Kak Elle.. pagi ni chicken sandwich ke? Sama ngan sya.. pagi tadi bekalkan chicken sandwich utk Arif dr balance ayam teriyaki beli kat Jusco, Jusco bagi harga ayam murah bila dah 10.30 pm so I took the opportunity to buy lepas balik dr gym smlm.
So this morning chicken sandwich and macaroni cheese utk yg pompuan. Arif tak fancy macaroni cheese.
Sya pun kalau ayam KFC only can finish 1 1/2 pieces depend which part of the chicken. Tapi kalau coleslaw big tub pun habis.. pastu jadi cam belon sebab kembung
Kak Elle, jaga orang tua ni banyak pahalanya. Bapak Kak Elle tu baik hati dan kasihkan anaknya. Sebab tu dia tak nak menyusahkan Kak Elle tetapi kita sebagai anak tak sampai hatikan?
I yang selalu makan the left overs sebab sayang..

Kak Elle & Adah, ada ubat sakit hati tak? I tengah sakit hati sekarang lah sebab my maid just dropped a bomb - dia nak cuti balik kampung 2 bulan! My BP terus shoot up lah. Tentang cupcakes & makan kat JP tu I tak lupa...err bila ek?

Kak elle...lady tak pernah rasa malu nak makan leftovers...kalau anak2 memang kadang susah nak makan lauk semalam...selalunya lady akan panaskan...esok buat nasi goreng...makan dengan lauk tu...kalau ikan kembung goreng...esok tu lady pecah2kan campur kat nasi goreng...jgn membazir rezeki yang Allah beri...melainkan kalau dah tak boleh makan....
Sedapnya nampak makanan dari KFC tu...keluar air liur ni...
Bertuah kak elle dapat jaga ayah tu...sebab banyak pahala dan berkatnya...murah rezeki orang kata....
