Is this bantal busuk(smelly pillow)?ahaa its not!
When I was in KL last month this little cushion was on the bed in my room and I think Sya and kaklady thought that is my bantal busuk:)I used it to support my back when we were travelling from Sg to KL otherwise I will have a very bad backache.I also use it as an extra pillow too when nightfall comes as you know the hotel will never provide enough pillow to go round.
Another thing I noticed that day in KL also was how Alang(maklang's sister) was eyeing at it:) well doc sorry to say this but 'we nurses are the pillar in the ward and clinic and without us practicals will not be accomplished'. I know there are doctors or doctor's spouses who reads my blog and I am sure they will 100% agree with me.As the slogan say so clearly BEHIND EVERY GOOD DOCTOR IS A GREAT NURSE.........
This cushion was airflown from the states to me,my sis Maria found it during one her shopping sprees and thought it was a good gift for me and if I am not mistaken John brought it with him during one his solo trip here about more than 10 yrs ago after his meeting in Jakarta.Maria fyi the cushion is still with me after all these years as you can never find it here in sg.I used to placed it on my chair at work in the clinic at Raffles Place and patients who saw it thought it was cute and also agree with the slogan:)Kristina if you are reading this entry see how thoughtful mom is ... hehe...thats why I love my siblings and same goes for my nephews and nieces too.
Working as a nurse is always thought as dirty in some peoples eyes but without us there's no one to take care of you when you are sick and hospital cannot run without us the white angels.So please give us credit for our services we are not asking for much just a word of thanks will make our day:)and ofcourse we do get appreciated too by members of the family.Recently the govt gave nurses a very good pay rise but being in the private sector we didn't get any and I am sure FT will agree to this.Shortage of nurses has brought an import of foreign nurses in singapore esp from China,Philipines,Myanmar and India.We see a lot of foreign nurses working in the govt hospital and reconstructed hospital.
Oooopppsssssss I am to talk about bantal busuk but end up talking about the dedicated nurses.
To doctors who read my blog no offence ok?
